This extraordinary handcrafted log home, designed and built by the world-renowned Pioneer Log Homes of BC—known globally through the acclaimed television series Timber Kings—represents the very peak of Canadian mountain craftsmanship and alpine luxury. Set directly along the Sundance ski run, White Spirit Lodge offers a true ski-in, ski-out experience combined with a level of artistry and scale rarely seen in a vacation property open to public bookings. It stands proudly as one of the most prestigious and valuable homes ever built at Big White, offering more than 10,000 square feet of magnificent living space.
The lodge itself is a living work of art. Each massive log has been hand-selected from old-growth Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir, then carved, fitted, and finished by the master builders of Pioneer Log Homes. Their craftsmanship reveals the natural beauty of the wood’s grain and character, resulting in a structure that feels both monumental and deeply personal. Inside, vaulted ceilings soar overhead, while vast picture windows frame the mountain landscape in every direction. Hand-chiseled stone fireplaces anchor the main gathering spaces, creating a perfect balance of grandeur and warmth.
Throughout the home, the interiors reflect the same uncompromising attention to detail. Every piece of furniture, from the hand-carved bedframes to the custom dining tables and seating, has been chosen or commissioned to harmonize with the timber architecture. White Spirit Lodge features three lavishly appointed bedrooms in the main home, with additional an additional private suite available in adjoining quarters.
The primary suite is a private sanctuary, featuring a grand hand-carved king bed, vaulted ceilings, and a private balcony overlooking the snowy slopes. Its ensuite spa bathroom offers a deep soaking tub, rainfall shower, and twin vanities framed in natural timber and stone.
Each guest bedroom and the attached guest suite are equally unique, blending handcrafted woodwork with fine linens and private ensuite bathrooms. In total, the lodge provides six bathrooms, each designed with rich natural materials—stone, copper, and cedar—along with heated floors and fixtures that feel both rustic and indulgent.
