Team Ottawa

House was new and very comfortable for our needs. Location was very good for our needs to visit family and friends. Some supplies were needed and they were delivered promptly. Only small issues were getting the checkin info which I saw was to come a few days before and some confusion at checkin having 2 lockboxes on the door. Thanks!

Terrible communication/ refusal to refund

We booked for a hockey tournament in nearby Alliston. During our stay, a winter storm hit Barrie and surrounding areas. There was no snowshovel to use to clear the front entrance or driveway. Contact with the owner was extremely poor. The only means was through the VRBO website. The response time was excessive. Will not recommend this property for that reason.

This 4 bedroom townhouse was conveniently located near shopping, arenas and about half hour to ski resorts. Home reflected as pictured and was warm during our stay. Beds and pillows were also comfy. Additional hand and bath towels and extra bed linen would have been appreciated. There was only one bath towel per bedroom except for the Master, where there were two. This would have been a bigger issue had our entire group of 8, we initially booked for, all came. A larger front entrance mat would also help keep the tiles from being too wet and slippery from the snow. Parking for 2 vehicles includes the garage space. Response time with the host was poor. Instructions to access the home was received minutes before arriving only after texting and calling the host a couple of times to let him know our ETA was going to be around 5pm, which is well after our 4pm check in time. Was informed that the information was sent but realized after our call that it didn’t go through. Despite the communication gap, our group enjoyed our stay overall.
