Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. Max and Katie were so welcoming and friendly whilst also being very mindful of giving us appropriate privacy. We stayed for 3 nights with our two Shetland Sheepdogs who also had a very happy and chilled time and these guys normally struggle to chill. Everything about this property was just perfect and we also had some beautiful walks nearby and also headed down to nearby Apollo Bay for a day. We can’t wait to go back and are planning another booking very soon but we will stay longer this time.

This cottage was exactly what we needed for a weekend away with our dog. The checkin was super easy, communication between Katie and Max was speedy and clear, the kitchen and the house was very well equipped. All of these made the stay feel really cozy. This is definitely a space I’ll consider staying at again as the space was clean and the fireplace, split system and electric blanket was plenty to be sure we were warm! We only needed the fire the time we were there but good to know there are other options for extra cold nights/daysBeing in such a beautiful location like the Otways, our room had a window looking out to incredible views as well as able to see the sheep, goats and chicken. The verandah is so lovely to enjoy watching the fog roll through the valley. Check in was super easy, we were greeted by Max upon arrival and our cottage was warm from the fire. whilst the property has one or even 2 other dwellings, we did not hear or see anyone else during our stay. Location is great, easy drive to go on walks and head down to Apollo bay! Thanks again to Katie and Max for creating a welcoming space!

If you want a cozy and relaxing weekend the cottage is an excellent place to stay

Beautiful scenery relaxing cottage to stay in. Max and Katie were extremely helpful hosts. Max had the fire going on our arrival, was absolutely lovely coming into the cottage with fire roaring. Best weekend away..will be back

Very beautiful, peaceful cottage to stay at. Lovely service from the property managers and very accomodating. The doggies had a wonderful time too.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Country Cottage, we're already trying to organise another stay. Max and Katie's hospitality was the best we've ever experienced, the cottage felt like a home away from home, and the property is stunning. Just a short drive from so many incredible walking trails, waterfalls etc. Do yourself a favour and book this holiday, you'll be so glad you did.

We had the most amazing time at Top of the Otways Country Cottage. The attention to detail was excellent. We could not want for anything else. The best getaway for a girls weekend to refresh before the rundown to the end of the year. See you again soon.

Cottage was very cosy to stay in. Beds were very comfortable and having a fireplace was perfect. Great to be able to cook our own food in the kitchen. So lovely to explore the property and to be greeted by goats and sheep and the view is just beautiful. The owners Max and Katie were amazing hosts and are there if needed. Highly recommend!

It had everything we were looking for. A quiet get away and beautiful views. Dog friendly. Easy reach of the towns of Apollo Bay and Forrest for dog friendly walks with our tenterfield terrior. Great place to rest up.

Home among the gumtrees

Hosts were amazing! The house was very comfy and had everything we could possibly need. The logfire was great on those cold nights and there was so much to see, we couldn't fit everything in. We had such a great stay and would recommend this place to everyone.

A Perfect Break

With the delightful hosts, the delightful cottage and wonderful surrounds of The Otways, we couldn’t fault this property. Even my dog was well catered for with the securely fenced grass and garden.Will certainly recommend to family and friends.
