Our apartment is located in the heart of the beautiful El Born district of Barcelona’s Historic Centre known as Ciutat Vella.

It’s on the doorstep of the magnificent Picasso Museum and MOCO, Barcelona’s new Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, the Chocolate Museum and the Ciutadella Park. It’s a 5-minute walk from the beautiful palm-fringed marina and the cathedral, a 10 minute walk from the Ramblas, and just 15 minutes from the beaches that led to Barcelona being crowned Nº1 Beach City in the World by National Geographic Magazine.

The apartment has a floor area of 90m2 and provides real home from home comfort and every luxury to make your holiday accommodation extra special. It has high speed fibre optic internet at 100mbps, duck down duvets in winter, a Nespresso coffee machine and a home cinema system.

It is spacious with open plan areas in the living room & kitchen/dining room. It has high vaulted ceilings with exposed wooden beams and French windows leading out onto little wrought iron Juliette balconies.

It has a landline, a breakfast bar, a split-level spa-style bathroom with a huge shower cubicle. It even has a secret door!

The apartment was also featured in a TV documentary on Catalán interiors.

I picked this place for the location and it really didn’t disappoint. The apartment was extremely clean and spacious and it comfortably fit my daughter and I. Check in was a breeze and the person doing the check in was very friendly and informative. Communications with the apartment owner was excellent. She would reply to any of my questions very quickly. The apartment is on the 2nd floor and the building doesn’t have an elevator so you have to carry your luggage up the narrow stairs. It wasn’t an issue for me but wanted to note that for groups with young children or a lot of baggage.This place is central to everything and is located very close to several museums and restaurants! Easy walking to many sights or hop on the metro for further trips.

The overall area was very sociable. Within a 2 minute walk was a plaza with many restaurants, bars and shops. This made evening dining and activities very convenient. The only inconveniences with this specific place was the 4 flights of stairs to access the room (only an issue with multiple suitcases, which we had) and the need for a physical check-in with the management company to get the keys and be escorted to the apartment. Due to our early morning arrival time, we had to wait around a half hour to be able to meet with them to get to the apartment. Thankfully, he also helped with the suitcases. Overall though, I would recommend this place and it's location was perfect to enjoy many of the aspects of Barcelona.

Amazing property and location!

Kay, Christine and Sarah were all amazing to communicate with. Everything was super easy from a late check-in to check out. The location was amazing with the majority of everything within walking distance including Barceloneta Beach. Some of the best restaurants in Barcelona are with a 5-15 minute walk from the property. We would absolutely stay here again. Kay and Christine, thank you for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Born

We had a lovely stay at Kay’s apartment. Check in was great. Both Kay and Sarah communicated well throughout our stay. We loved the neighborhood and walkability of the area. The apartment was accurate from the listing, clean, and comfortable. There were some issues with the security alarm and smoke detectors going off unexpectedly, which Kay and Sarah addressed promptly and professionally. Overall, I’d recommend this place to other small families of 3 to 4 people when visiting Barcelona.

Upsides were: Great location, easy to walk everywhere, clean and very easy to contact Kay. Kay responded very quickly when issues with washer/dryer arose. Used drying rack as unable to use dryer. Downsides were: bed sags badly in middle so bad back each morning, lounge suite the same and uncomfortable, very noisy through the night and able to hear all neighbours through walls and ceiling, curtains don’t stop light and streetlight make it hard to sleep..

Excellent location, wonderful place to stay!

We booked the property for a week in November for a family trip with our two teenagers. The apt is on a quiet pedestrian street so there is no traffic noise. It is just off the del Born street so you are very close to all theTapas and shopping you can handle. The location is also within walking distance of all the tourist hot spots. You can walk to the beach in 10min, to Sagrada Familia in 25min, and all other points of interest in 10-15min. The apt is very clean and perfectly sized for a group of 4 people with a nice little kitchen and plenty of room to relax after a long day of exploring the city.

Amazing apartment

This apartment was in an amazing location in the El Born area. It’s in a pedestrian area so very quiet. We loved being able to walk right out of the apartment to all the shops and restaurants. The owner was so wonderful with all my questions and helped with connecting me with her hairdresser before our son’s wedding. We would definitely stay here again!

El Born

A great property and experience overall. I've stayed at many VRBO and other such properties, but never before was the host so attentive in advance and check-in experience so perfectly seamless. The property itself is tucked away in a quiet little part of El Born, yet still in the heart of it. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and this entire, large apartment, was spotless. It was well appointed including every little thing you would need in the kitchen if you were staying more than the two days we did. There is no question that we would stay here again. Highly recommend it.

Weeklong stay

Kay’s property was exactly as described and shown in photos. It has a great location as it is in the middle of lively El Born while also on a quiet street. The waterfront is easily accessible, we were there for The Americas Cup. Loved having laundry machine, air conditioning along with extra fans and the extra bed for our daughters visit! I would stay again if ever in Barcelona. Thanks Kay.

Amazing stay!

Kays flat was a great spot for all our adventures in Barcelona! The Born area is by far our favorite place after exploring the city-so many fun restaurants nearby and the beach is a short walk. We had plenty of space in the flat, it was clean and well stocked and we felt very safe. There are some steps up to the flat, (only 24) so if you have mobility issues keep that in mind. Hoffmans bakery was a daily stop for sweets! Beds are comfortable the bathroom was roomy and spotless. We would stay again when in Barcelona!

First time to Barcelona

Great location in El Born on a quieter street. Very comfortable for a couple or a family. Lots of very thoughtful touches for a home away from home feel. Walking distance to many of the big attractions or stay close and discover the many shops, restaurants and museums right in the El Born! Kay and her staff were very helpful and communicative. We would definitely return!

The property was very well-appointed with comforts of home. It is close and walkable to restaurants, tour buses, grocery stores and pharmacies. The property comes with maps, things to do, recommendations, and is prompt in answering questions.

Home away from home

It was a very relaxing stay home away from home. The location was very convenient. We found a very nice little coffee just around the corner for our start of the day, it even opened at 7:30 am, what was awesome since we still had a jet lag. Our welcome was very nice.
