In the Chianti region, nestled between rolling hills of vineyards and olive groves, is the 'Il Bacio' farmhouse of Sonia and Franco.

The ancient farmhouse, the barn and the woodshed, carefully restored and tastefully furnished, keep their original structure and the traditional characteristics of the ancient Tuscan houses intact.
The "PERGOLA" apartment on 2 levels is located in the ancient farmhouse ideal for 2 people or a family with 2 children.

The apartments have independent entrances and wisteria and jasmine pergolas with a splendid panoramic view, where you can dine by candlelight.

Our farmhouse has a 12x6 meter swimming pool, surrounded by a large lawn overlooking the valley and from which you can enjoy an enchanting view of the surrounding hills. Here each apartment has its own umbrella with deck chairs and sun loungers. In our swimming pool, the water is slightly salty and with no added chlorine and therefore more delicate for skin and eyes, in addition to the environmental benefits.

At "Il Bacio" we produce Chianti wine, grappa and certified organic extra virgin olive oil. Franco and Daniele will be happy to welcome you in our ancient cellar to guide you to discover the main stages of the winemaking process and to taste our organic wines accompanied by local specialties.

Charming Respite Under the Tuscan Sun

Sonia, Franco and Gulia welcomed us warmly to their beautiful home in the peaceful Tuscan countryside. Our accommodations were very comfortable and appealing. The views were stunning! The location was a perfect base for touring other Tuscan cities. This property is a small organic winery named IL Bacio. We were excited to learn about the wine making process and had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a wine tasting. The wine is excellent! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Unbelievably awesome!!!

As a VRBO client I have never had such a wonderful experience as we did with Sonia, Franco and family. From the moment we registered there was excellent communications. When we got there, the family was so helpful and accommodating to ensure we had a relaxing and fun experience. Great directions, eating suggestions and wine tasting. Our hosts were THE MOST wonderfully hospitable and endearing people. Anyone wanting to stay in Tuscany must stay with Sonia and Franco.

Peaceful and serene

A peaceful and serene home in Tuscany. There are four different residences at this VRBO. Ours was a one bedroom, with the bed and bath up the stairs. The scenic beauty of Tuscany is everywhere. Comfortable accommodations. The basics for cooking are provided. The Wi-Fi in this apartment was spotty but worked fine outside. The donkeys are lovely & Maya the dog strolled around making her daily check on us. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. Be sure to do a wine tasting and learn about wine and olive oil production More rustic than some, we enjoyed the peace and simplicity. .

Incredible property, and fantastic hosts.

We could not believe this property. The surroundings were simply amazing; tranquility, cleanliness and so charming and typical Tuscany flair. The hosts Franco and Sonia were amazing and helpful even before we arrived. Because it only has a few units, it is very intimate and laid back. We loved our outdoor seating area and the pool area. The wine tasting on site with their son Danielle and fellow guests staying there was fantastic. If you want a true Tuscany experience and fantastic surroundings, 30 mins drive from anywhere you will want to go nearby, this is the spot.

Peace and quiet

Great location to unplug and explore Tuscany. Get a vehicle with decent tires to do a little off roaring to make experience even better! Great food and breathtaking views. Hosts were very sweet and accommodations were cozy.

Enjoyed our stay in this villa surrounded with breathtaking views. Location excellent! Close to amenities and main roads to explore the Tuscany area. Hosts are gracious, friendly couple. peace in Tuscany

My wife and I wanted a quiet getaway in Tuscany. We didn't need the hustle and bustle of Siena or Florence, just the quiet countryside and some local organic wine. This is the ideal place! Our room was perfect and the pool was great to relax by. Marco, Sonia, and son, Daniele, were busy with harvest but someone was always around to help with anything. We did a wine tasting at their small production, organic wines. It is always a blessing to taste the wine that your hosts prepared, from planting the vines, harvesting the grapes, and then making the wine. You could taste their passion in every sip. We missed out on their olive oil but did get a taste. Guess we will have to return to try that as well!

Beautiful Tuscan country side.

The property is beautiful. Our house was very clean. There hosts Franco and Sonia were very hospitable and helpful. The internet connection is weak and be aware of mosquitos, but it’s part of being out in Tuscany.

A little glimpse of paradise

Il Bacio is a beautiful and peaceful oasis in rural Tuscany which is both perfect to get away from it all and ideally situated to visit the historic cultural centres of Florence, Siena and Pisa as well as the nearby Mediaeval gems of Radda, Castelina, San Gimignano and Volterra. Sonia and Franco are great hosts and a tour of their winery, with sampling of their wine and olive oil made on site, is a must. Accommodation is simple but comfortable and the pool is great to unwind in at the end of the hot Tuscan summer days. Warmly recommended!

The most incredible Tuscany experience!

We absolutely loved our stay at Il Bacio!! Sonia and Franco are the most incredible hosts- so generous and helpful! We fell in love with the place so much that we booked an extra two nights. The farm is so serene- we loved the cats coming by for a morning and evening ‘hello’. We truly felt at home here! The house had everything you could possibly need and it was so clean and comfy!! We loved exploring the area, but our favorite moments were right there at the farm. Be sure to have Franco walk you through a wine tasting! We can’t wait to go back, and take friends or family!!!

Great relaxing getaway in Tuscany

We had a wonderful stay at IL Bacio winery. Franco was very welcoming and helped us find our way to some nice restaurants in the area. Apartment was well equipped with a small kichinette and fridge which was enough to cook up breakfast and some lunches. It was very quiet and serene location, where the only noise was the meow of one of the farm's cats, an occasional call from the donkeys or the buz of a bee. Easy access to a number of great destinations like Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, and Florence. Loved it! Only downside was no AC, but for us the whether was such that we were comfortable without.

Inoubliable séjour à Il Bacio

Un grand merci à Sonia et Franco pour leur accueil, leur sympathie, leur disponibilité et leur hospitalité dans ce cadre merveilleux typique de la Toscane. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la dégustation du très bon vin et les échanges avec Sonia et Franco (les différents vins et l'huile d'olive sont excellents). L' environnement du gîte est magnifique, la terrasse ombragée, la grande piscine d'eau salée avec transats privatifs est un atout indispensable en été. La propriété est très bien entretenue, l'intérieur propre et la literie confortable. La fourniture du linge de maison (draps, nombreuses serviettes de toilette, et draps de bain pour la piscine) est très appréciable. Il y a beaucoup de visites à faire dans les environs (San Gimignano, Voltera, Sienne, Florence, Lucques, Pise, etc). Nous avons testé les pizzas de la Fornace à deux pas d'Il Bacio, et elles sont très bonnes. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir rendre visite à Sonia et Franco dans leur jolie demeure. A bientôt, Virginie, Randolph et leurs enfants.

Perfect spot for a relaxing holiday

We stayed in the Pergola apartment for 2 weeks. Il Bacio is in a tranquil and beautiful part of Chianti equal distance from Florence and Sienna. The owners Franco and Sonia are friendly and helpful and it was wonderful to be part of this organic vineyard for a short time. We loved the involvement with the family and the animals etc . The apartment is well furnished and clean with a small kitchenette, comfortable beds and wifi. There is a lovely pool with loungers for days when you've had enough sightseeing . if you want a genuine Italian experience in a peaceful and beautiful place then this is the place for you !

It was like being in PARADISES!!!!!

Franco & Sonia's accommodations were absolutely beautiful. It was SO CLEAN (we're sure the sheets were ironed) & comfortable & the view was breathtaking. Every morning Franco went into the village & bought us fresh bread. (It was AMAZING). When we arrived, Sonia offered to drive into the village to get us some groceries as we were very tired. So sweet!!!! And the bed was so comfy!!!!! We actually just enjoyed most of our stay relaxing at their place as it was just so beautiful. And Sonia was so helpful giving us a map & showing us which villages were a must to see. When we can come to Tuscany again, we would only stay with Franco & Sonia. It was that lovely. And their kitties come by daily to get their rubs & pets. So cute!!!! The village of Tavarnelle in Val di Pesa has everything you need & is only a 5 min drive away. And the people were so sweet & helpful when we were looking for a specific place. It was the most relaxing trip EVER.
