  • Nestled in the woods in the heart of Mount Desert Island, Acadia Woods Cottages are fully equipped 2 bedroom homes that are the perfect launching place from which to explore Acadia National Park and the surrounding areas.

    Marshall Lodge has two cozy bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, heat/AC, W/D, smart TV/high-speed internet, grill, screened porch, community fire ring, outdoor games, picnic pavilion and more!

    Acadia Woods Cottages are just 7 minutes from the main entrance to Acadia NP and a short drive to nearly everything else on the Island. Or, leave your car at home and jump on the free island explorer bus. The bus stop is directly across the street and it can take you nearly anywhere on the island.

    Other amenities that are easily accessible within a 5 minute walk include:

    * Town Hill Market for coffee, baked goods, basic sundries and ice cream stand!
    * Atlantic Brewing Company/Mainely Meat Barbecue
    * Eden Pizza
    * Brrrr Harbor Shaved Ice
    * Town Hill Playground - considered to be the best on the island by many of the local children!

    Cottage Rules

    These Cottage Rules ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay for all our guests. We appreciate your cooperation.

    Check-in/Check-out: 4:00 PM and 10:00 AM. This allows for a smooth and enjoyable arrival and departure experience.

    Parking: Please park only in the designated space assigned to your cottage.

    Smoking/Vaping: Strictly prohibited inside the cottage and in all common areas.

    Quiet Hours: 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

    Parties/Events: Prohibited.

    Pets: Not allowed in the cottages or on the premises.

    Open Flames: Prohibited within the cottage (e.g., candles).

    Bathroom: Please use the dark towels provided for makeup removal. Do not flush anything except toilet paper. Hygiene products, wet wipes, dental floss, and diapers should be placed in the garbage.

    Garbage Removal: Please use the designated bins and follow recycling guidelines.

    Wildlife: Do not feed wildlife (deer, squirrels, foxes, wild turkeys, seagulls).

    Rental Agreement: At least 7 days prior to arrival, guests must sign a rental agreement that outlines these rules and the associated security deposit.

    Security Deposit: A $500 security deposit hold will be placed on your card one day prior to arrival. Assuming the cottage rules are followed, the security deposit is released one day after check-out.

    Note: Violation of these rules will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit and may result in immediate eviction without a refund.

Cozy cabin

This is a cozy cabin and just right for the three of us. We got to stay one night, but would’ve loved to have stayed more and enjoy all the amenities that were offered.

Perfect spot for our family

Honestly this was probably the cleanest place I’ve stayed in quite some time. 10 minutes from everything, small grocery store and brewery across the street. Will be staying again.

Great stay in Acadia

We stayed at the Marshal cabin, it was clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed for a family of 5. The kids especially liked the bunk bed and the ping pong table in the common area. It’s close to Bar harbor and Acadia national park. Look no further, this is the place to stay!

Amazing!

We just got back from a trip to Maine and staying in Marshall Cottage #8. We loved it there! The cottage was very well maintained and very clean and comfortable. Checking in and out was easy and our hosts were very responsive to messages. The cottage was just minutes away from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. I highly recommend Acadia Woods Cottages and hope to stay there in the future!

Great little cabin close to the activity of Acadia and bustle of Bar Harbor, but seemingly miles away from anywhere! Two bedrooms were perfect for my husband and I and our adult son. Bed were comfy, kitchen well stocked and the living/dining area nice for just unwinding at the end of the day. There is a fire pit area too that looked good for relaxing in the evening, but we weren’t there long enough to take advantage of it.

Beautiful cottage

Excellent location for exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor. Construction going on next door was noisy but once that is finished shouldn’t be an issue. Cottage was lovely, brand new and just right for our family of four. We’ll be back!

Acadia Woods Cottages

The cottage is very cozy. The kitchen and bathroom are very well equipped including a full size washer and dryer. The bedrooms are small but fine overall. There is a nice community space with a ping pong table and corn hole as well as a community fire pit. The host gave us a tip on the local Downeast Lobster Pound which was great and cheaper than what is nearer to Bar Harbor.

Maine 2024

Cabin was very clean and accommodating. Property was nice. In our second and third day it was rainy and overcast. Cabin got cold and damp. It needs a dehumidifier for days like that. Our pillows were damp the next day when we checked out. Other than that it was great!
