This bright, cheery one-bedroom mountain condo is a perfect retreat for the stresses of daily life. Warm up after a day on the slopes by the fire after cooking a lovely meal for your family in the full-service kitchen, or hang out on the private balcony and re-live the day's adventures. The location of this Sugar Mountain condo is fantastic—within walking distance to the ski resort, and just a short drive to golf and tennis areas.

This cozy 600-square-foot condo is ideal for four guests. It features a well-lit bedroom that includes a queen bed, and one bathroom. Perfect for a relaxed vacation or a short stay in the mountains, the space is designed for the well-being of guests.

Sugar Mountain Resort is just steps away from this condo, where you'll find an outdoor skating rink, snow tubing, mountain bike tours and a full golf course. There are plenty of restaurants close by, including The Pedalin’ Pig and Elevations Restaurant. Sightseeing is plentiful in this area as well, such as the Foggy Mountain Gem Mine, Mile High Swinging Bridge and Grandfather State Park.

I was not happy with this rental at all. When we first arrived I noticed the kitchen was greasy and sticky. The stove looked like it hadn’t been cleaned good for a while, the kitchen cabinets/ knobs were grimy and sticky. The list goes on and on with problems at this condo. The condo as a whole was not clean at all compared to all the other Vrbo rentals I’ve stayed at. Then we found out the toilet was clogged. We contacted Vacasa and a maintenance man was sent. He came twice in 2 days but he was never able to get it working properly. I called Vacasa and requested we be relocated. We were never moved and ended up running to the local gas station to use the restroom for the rest of our stay. I was very disappointed in Vacasa and their customer treatment. I will never again rent from Vacasa and recommend you thinking twice about renting from them. In the end I was refunded 20 a day which in my eyes doesn’t even begin to cover the lack of consideration I was given.

The property was run down outside and inside. Not very clean stove top was greasy clumps of hair under the couch. Something splattered on the baseboards in the bathroom. Deck looked like it should be condemned. Pictures are deceiving of this property does not show true scope of size or condition. We were kept up all night by a barking dog and bumping noises in the unit above us. We checked out a day early and came home.

Beautiful Condo

We stayed here during a weekend in the fall and this cabin was cute and cozy. We went to an Oktoberfest festival hosted at Sugar Mtn Ski Resort. If you are planning to go to the ski resort, this cabin is not walking distance (in my opinion). We were under the impression that it was but still had to drive. The fireplace was wonderful.

Horrible Experience

Arrived at the unit late at night (11:30 pm) to find that the access code provided would not open either the door or the lock box. Emailed the property agent via VRBO to inform them of this at 11:46 pm. There was no reply until 10:34 am the next morning. After exchanging emails with the property manager, I was informed that I should have called for access although no where in their literature had the property manager indicated that the non-local, non-toll free phone number would be manned to deal with such situation. In the end, they decided to refund me the "cleaning fee", only. I believe that I now need to file a lawsuit to recover the remainder of my money and damages for breach of contract and UDTP. Do not rent this unit!
