    Barton House Barn es un granero bellamente convertido que pertenece a Barton House Farm (grado II). Ubicado en el corazón del pintoresco pueblo de Shutford, el Granero domina la hermosa iglesia normanda de San Martín en una carretera sin salida que conduce a un hermoso campo abierto. También está a tiro de piedra del pub local del pueblo The George and Dragon, que ofrece buena cerveza local y comida casera.
    The Barn está bien situado para aquellos que desean explorar el corazón de los Cotswolds con Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water y Moreton in Marsh a menos de 30 minutos en coche. También está cerca de los populares mercados de Banbury, Shipston y Chipping Norton, así como de los destinos turísticos más concurridos de Warwick, Stratford Upon Avon, Oxford y Bicester Village.     The Barn conserva muchas características originales, incluyendo mampostería a la vista y vigas complementadas con pisos de pizarra que se extienden por toda la planta baja. El gran hall de entrada conduce a la espaciosa sala de estar y al comedor de la cocina.

    Hall de entrada con área de almacenamiento y guardarropa, aseo y cocina comedor. El moderno comedor de cocina ofrece todas las necesidades de cocina, horno doble, microondas, lavavajillas grande, frigorífico, tostadora, hervidor de agua, vitrocerámica y cafetera. La gran sala de estar de doble aspecto cuenta con grandes puertas francesas que se abren directamente a un patio orientado al sur. Aunque tiene calefacción central para ese calor invernal extra acogedor, también hay una estufa de leña en el salón.

    Piso de arriba
    Gran dormitorio principal con techo abovedado con baño privado y aseo. La habitación también cuenta con acceso a un pequeño balcón. Las habitaciones segunda y tercera son del mismo tamaño con camas dobles y dobles, respectivamente. Todas las habitaciones tienen armarios y cajones para un montón de almacenamiento. El baño familiar sirve al segundo y tercer dormitorio. Y tenemos un pequeño lavadero con lavadora para los huéspedes a quienes les gusta viajar livianos. Finalmente, todas las camas son nuevas con colchones de calidad Hypnos súper cómodos para garantizar la mejor noche de sueño.

Lovely cottage in great location

We had a lovely stay in this cottage. The hosts were really helpful and the welcome basket was really appreciated. It is nicely decorated throughout and perfect for 6 people. The locstion is also excellent for visiting many local attractions. Would highly recommend.

Comfortable stay in a lovely location

The barn is comfortable and very well equipped. A home from home feel. The location is lovely, with easy access to most places and great walks. Vicky and Christian were helpful and welcoming too.

Fantastic Property

Fantastic property. very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds and in a prime location. Hosts also provided Tea,coffee,milk and biscuits.They were very thoughtful with filling the ice cube trays and the extras they left.

A lovely cottage in a quiet, rural area. Spotlessly clean and nicely furnished/decorated. Good communication with the hosts and photos are true to likeness. We were 6 adults and all enjoyed our stay. Our only slight criticism would be that for 6 adults, there is really only one shower - the shower in the main bathroom is attached to the bath taps with no wall fixing so you have to crouch in the bath to use it. However, that was a minor issue and we all agreed we would stay again.

Just returned from this excellent property. Communication with the owner was virtually by return. On arrival the property was immaculately clean and the beds and sofas extremely comfortable. The owner knocked the door on the first evening to check all was ok and we mentioned we could do with serving spoons and he returned with some moments later! What service! Absolutely could not fault any aspect of our weekend away. You will not be disappointed. We would definitely book again. Just a note the pub (only 100 yds away) no longer serves food but is very welcoming.

The hosts were very welcoming. The barn is very well equipped with quality furnishings and fittings and it is spotlessly clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property. Thank you Vicky and Christian!

Peaceful break

Very well equipped property clean & tidy excellent area for walking the dog . Also very welcoming pub a 2 mins walk away . Overall a very pleasant stay in a very nice barn .

Perfect location to unwind

We so enjoyed our stay at Barton House Barn.The barn was very hansom and well equipped, with everything we needed. The beautiful country side and the peace and quiet was much needed. We highly recommend this property and would love to visit again.

Weekend Getaway

Can not fault the property. Everything was spotless, laid out perfectly and extremely comfortable. Location was ideal for a weekend away, including some lovely walks. Hosts were a pleasure to deal with.

An amazing home away from home

A 5* home hotel, fabulously comfy beds, super cleaning done for Covid 19. Never had such a pleasant stay in an holiday home loads of touches such as a jar of doggy biscuits and muddy paw towels for our furry friend. Fully stocked kitchen, more utensils than I think I have in my kitchen 😊 would have no hesitation in recommending it you anyone for a relaxing country break. Will definitely be booking again to stay in the summer and sit in the patio and have a bbq. The pub across the road serves great food with friendly staff and a separate area to eat with the dog. Also recommended is Monkeybean coffee shop in Sugarswell Business Park they do great coffee sandwiches and cakes.

Amazing cottage and hosts

Gorgeous cottage in the cotsworlds, our hosts were amazing and incredibly helpful with any request (even calling a taxi and providing a map for our walks). Highly recommend!

Beautiful house in a beautiful village.

This is a perfect place to visit the Cotswolds. Is close to many interesting sites (such as Chipping Camden, Broadway, the Warwick Castle, Stratford upon Avon, among others), it´s located in a lovely old village, and the house itself is perfectly decorated, clean, and it has good spaces for children.

Fantastic Easter Break

Stayed here with my family over Easter. There were six of us and I was not sure after seeing the pictures online whether the property was going to be big enough, but what a fantastic surprise when we went in this place is much bigger than it looks. The kitchen is well equipped and with three good sized bedrooms, two bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom, everything you could want. The barn was very clean and well decorated. It is located in a lovely small village and there are some really nice scenic walks and the pub is literally just down the road. The weather was beautiful and we spent a lot of time on the patio off the lounge which was lovely, only downside is the heating vent which comes out of the wall next to the patio bench but this was only on a couple of times during our stay so not too bad. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful and spacious barn house!

We stayed 5 nights in this beautiful barn house, and visited 10 towns in Cotswolds. It seems very close to everywhere we planned to visit. The owner live next to the property and they are very nice, help us a lot when we have problem with our car. We feel very lucky to stay there and to have them around.

Very high standard

Our engineers stayed for a couple of weeks while working on a project and were very impressed with the accommodation and local amenities. Christian was also a great host to deal with.
