Pass the Keys | Charming 16th Century Cottage in Central Bloxham

Welcome to my cosy cottage located on a quiet lane in central Bloxham, just 15 mins from Soho Farmhouse, 10 mins from Banbury & 30 mins from the Cotswolds.

Relax by the log fire in the cosy lounge, cook up a feast in the fully equipped kitchen and entertain in the large garden room.

Upstairs you'll find two double bedrooms and a single, served by a family bathroom.

With scenic walks and 3 pubs on the doorstep, it's the ideal escape for 5 guests to unwind, recharge and embrace village life!

Please note: the steep narrow staircase leading upstairs is part of the cottage's historic charm, but may not be suitable for young children or those with mobility issues.

Enter via the front door up 5 steps and into the hallway.

GROUND FLOOR:
🍳 Kitchen: A fully equipped kitchen with everything you need including an electric range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge, freezer & Bosch Tassimo machine (please bring your own T DISC pods). The dining table seats 5, perfect for meals together.

🌿 Garden Room: Bright, spacious and super comfy with sofas and a dining table for up to 5 guests. There’s a large drying rack hanging from the ceiling – great for longer stays!

🔥 Living Room: Cosy spot with seating only for 3 - there is more seating in the garden room - a Freeview TV with Amazon Firestick (you'll need to log into your own apps) and a lovely open fire. Feel free to browse through the books on the shelves during your stay.

FIRST FLOOR:
⚠️ There's a low beam at the bottom of the stairs, so mind your head!

🛏️ Bedroom 1: Double bed tucked into a cosy little nook by the window overlooking the lane. Built-in wardrobe with shelf space for your convenience.

🛏️ Bedroom 2: A sweet single room with antique cabinet for storage and a lane view – perfect for kids or solo travellers.

🛏️ Bedroom 3: The largest room with a king-size bed with built-in wardrobe, also looking out onto the lane.

🛁 Family Bathroom: Large shower over the bath, sink & WC.

OUTSIDE
🌸 A small enclosed garden with a couple of seats – private and perfect if you’re bringing your dog along.

Free on-street parking just a few steps away on Old Bridge Road or in the car park at the local surgery behind the property (NB. there is no parking on the lane).

Landers Cottage is in an enviable position with 3 pubs less than a 5 minute walk away - The Joiners Arms, The Elephant & Castle and The Red Lion - all serving excellent pub food and dog friendly. A little further up the High Street is a Co-op Local, fish & chip shop and The White Lion café.

Banbury is only 3.5 miles away for all your major supermarkets, shopping and entertainment.

Bloxham is also conveniently located on the A361 with Chipping Norton and Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm Shop 10 miles away. The stunning Cotswolds AONB is just a 30 minute drive away.

This whole property is available for the sole use of our guests.

The shed in the back garden is for our own personal use.

As this is a very old cottage, there are some low beams in the doorways and a narrow steep staircase. However, every room is at full ceiling height.

All 3 bedroom windows are low down and unlocked so the property may not suitable for toddlers or young children.

The kitchen doesn’t have heating, so it can feel a little chilly at times. The garden room has limited heating too – it’s cosy in cooler weather, but because of the glass enclosure, it does feel quite warm on a sunny day.

A starter pack of logs and kindling are provided from October-March. If you wish to use the log fire often, we suggest purchasing more for your stay.

Our home is a mid-terrace in a quiet neighbourhood, so strictly no parties allowed please. Quiet hours are from 11pm to 7am.

Standard check-in time is from 4pm onwards and check-out time is by 10am. We may be able to offer a later check-out or earlier check-in for an extra cost via prior arrangement only.

Strictly no smoking or vaping indoors please.

We welcome 1 dog for a cost of £30 per stay. Please ensure the Pets box is ticked when you book. Bowls and a welcome pack are provided (please leave bowls behind for the next furry guests).

Please kindly consider our house rules if you bring your dog:
- Dogs must be well behaved and house trained
- Please keep your pet off the soft furnishings
- No pets upstairs please
- Any fouling on premises must be cleared up please as quickly as possible
- Muddy paws are to be cleaned before entering the house
- Dogs must not be left alone in the property, thank you

We can supply a travel cot & high chair for an additional cost of £25 per stay, please kindly request these at the time of booking. Please bring your own bedding for the travel cot.

Please note that a £50 callout charge will apply for misplaced keys and £100 will be charged for lost keys, so please be careful with them and place them back in the lockbox when you check-out.

The local Pass the Keys® team personally inspects the property and certifies the home has met Pass the Keys® Property Readiness Standard.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
