"The first thing I want to commend the staff here. Fabulous service in everything we had to discuss/ request. I couldn't recommend the staff here enough.
However the beds in this hotel...I can't comprehend how on earth anyone could think they are in any way shape or form acceptable in a hotel. Lumpy. Springy. The pillows felt like they were 50 years old lumpy with no shape. Thin. And no other choices. This isn't a difference between preferring a hard bed or soft. It's quite literally the WORST...

"The room was catered to tall people. I am all of 5ft. Digital padlock was quite high and so couldn't see numbers clearly. The mirror over the sink, and soap dispensers were designed for use by tall people. Suggest that the provider put up a couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang towels etc. The shower stall was a little tight. All this can be coped with.
What really was BAD was there was no hot water during the whole of Day 2 of my stay. The staff kept saying it was out of their control. Up to...

"These are student halls of residence during term time so whilst the bedrooms are on the small side they are perfectly adequate for a solo traveller. However the facilities on site are excellent. You have access to a laundry and fully equipped kitchen. There is a safe bicycle store, tea and coffee available all day in the reception/study/pool table/lounge area. The staff were always helpful and friendly."
