Weather beautiful, a little windy for fly fishing but our guide on the lakes made it work. Fishing right off the dock early mornings and late evenings with spectacular sunsets right in front of us. Explored and found new areas to fish, hoping to be back soon."

"Can’t say enough good things about this house. It was perfect. Every detail was thought through from the abundance of cozy blankets to the cute fireplace heaters in every room. The house was super clean and just perfect. We only had two adults staying a few nights for work travel (pretending it was a girls week lol) but I could see it comfortably fitting lots of people as there was so much space! I wish it was warmer out so I could have taken advantage of the outside spaces. Hope I get to come...

"The property at Grand Lake Stream was exactly as advertised. It was clean, plenty big enough and the setting simply could not have been better. Even during a cooler than usual late August, we were in the water every day (don’t forget your water shoes, you’ll need them). The kayaks and canoes were great, and the fire pit was the highlight at the end of virtually every day—a mere 20-feet from water’s edge. A wonderful spot, with incredibly responsive hosts"

"PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT. Excellent lakefront property. Hoise is well loved and cared for. Very clean. Plenty of outdoor area to run around. The penisula is a great spot for morning sunrises and catching some photos of loons. Many kayaks to enjoy time on the lake, laumch right fromt the beach. Plenty of indoor activities as well. The owners thought of everything when preparing the home for vacationers. There was not one time cooking that we didnt have what we needed. Kitchen is well stocked...

"A lovely property with a homey feel and an amazing view. It was well stocked with everything we needed to cook family meals even a large pot for lobster boils. We appreciated it was only 3 steps to get in the house with bathroom grab bars for toilets and showers. There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs but for family members with limited mobility, all the common areas are on the ground floor with just one small step down to get on the deck. We will definitely stay there again."

"We had an amazing 5 days. This trip involved 4 generations of my family. We came to Machias to go to my grandson’s high school graduation. Six of us came from Florida and the others were from Maine. The house was a perfect size for our family. We spent a majority of the time out on the deck. The weather was gorgeous for us. We were even given the opportunity to witness the wonderful wildlife in the area. We had two moose wander through the yard on one occasion. Then we had two deer come through...

"Can only say it was a great week...house was clean and supplied with all the kitchen items we needed. Full refrig was great as we bought most of our food for the week. Furniture and Bed was very comfortable. Decks were the best!! No internet but our cell phone did work to our surprise. Low Tide we could walk the beach for quite a ways-found lots of sea glass...kayaked...walked in the water by the shore. Only bummer we didn't build a fire on the beach but kindling etc was provided!
