This delightful studio apartment (380 ft2 / 35 m2) can be your home away from home while you visit Florence and Tuscany. Enjoy fascinating days of exploration from a peaceful, rural home base like this.

Located only a 20-minute drive from Florence's historic center, you can also take advantage of free parking in nearby Bagno a Ripoli and use the convenient bus system to tour the city.

The flat is attached to a typical Tuscan 'casa colonica' (country farmhouse) occupied by the owners and provides a tranquil, private place to recover after a day of touring. There are no other tourists. You'll be the only ones. The house is located on a hillside, with breath-taking views of the city of Florence and the hills surrounding Florence. The property consists of approximately nine acres (fenced) in an area protected from development and is planted in olive and fruit trees and grapevines.

Perfect for independent travelers with a car, other cities of interest within 60 miles (96 km) include Siena (40 mi/64 km), Pisa (57 mi/91 km), San Gimignano (35 mi/44 km), Lucca (52 mi/83 km), Arezzo (43 mi/69 km), Cortona (59 mi/94 km) and Volterra (50 mi/80 km). The Chianti wine region is also easily visited by car.
The areas highlighted in the ad (restaurant Donnini, the church of San Lorenzo, etc.) are much closer to what was written by the program, all are in Bagno a Ripoli, but not exactly in the village.

The apartment overlooks the beautiful Tuscan countryside. It is composed of a living room with sofa, a kitchen equipped with cook top, refrigerator, double sink,
mini oven and microwave, a bathroom with sink, shower, toilet and bidet, a loft with sleeping area. The very pretty and romantic double bedroom is reached via an internal wooden staircase. The staircase is steep, not suitable for very old people or people with walking problems.
In the apartment you can surf the internet (WiFi available).

The large terrace reserved for your exclusive use can be used for sunbathing, dining 'al fresco', reading and watching the sunsets as you gaze upon the Duomo and the olive groves below.

A well-marked hiking trail at the end of the driveway includes a section of the ancient Roman road from Bologna to Rome via Florence. Additional trails cover nearby hills and offer panoramic vistas of the area.

Gated access provides security for you, your car and possessions. Reserved parking. Come and go as you please.

Access to the apartment includes approximately one-third mile (500 meters) of graveled road. A car is strongly suggested. The road is not suitable for luxury cars. Because of the rain is not always in very good condition. Who is writing this description, goes down and up all year round without any problem with a Honda Jazz (Fit)

Just like the Renaissance you can not reach it

Fijn huisje, gevaarlijke weg naar boven. We konden door de slechte weg en de regen met onze auto niet boven komen en raakte vast in de berm. Geen begrip bij eigenaresse. Onnodig veel stress daarover gehad. Met onze spullen gesjouwd.

Urlaub über den Dächern von Flornez

Wir waren ca. 3 Wochen in diesem süßen, kleinen Haus in der Nähe von Florenz (mit dem Auto ca. 10- 15 min Fahrt). Es war sehr schön, abgelegen und ruhig. Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Menschen, die uns bei jedem Problem zur Seite standen. Das Haus hat eine schön Aufteilung und kann als Paar super genutzt werden.

Excellent Views and Hospitality

The location is somewhat difficult to get to, but once you are there, you will never want to leave! The views, location, and hospitality were excellent! We cannot wait to return. The house manager/owner, Fiorienza is wonder and very helpful. We fell in love with her and found a friend for life!

Traumurlaub im Sehnsuchtsland Toscana

Der Aufenthalt bei Florenz in den Olivenhängen über Bagno a Ripoly bei Fiorenza bleibt uns in bester Erinnerung. Das besondere Quartier, die ruhige Lage mit Sicht auf Florenz und weiter Umgebung und die abendlichen Sonnenuntergänge haben uns sehr gut getan. Leider haben wir Fiorenza nicht kennen gelernt, da sie im Urlaub war. Dafür wurden wir von Edda und Lindsay wunderbar umsorgt. Mit Auto oder Bus ab Tankstelle in Ripoly kann man Florenz und Umgebung sehr gut erkunden. Wir können das Quartier nur weiterempfehlen. Ulrich und Magdalena

Erholung in der Natur am Rande der Großstadt

Sehr nette Gastgeber, schöne, ruhige Lage in der Natur nahe der Großstadt. Sehr gut ausgestattete, kleine Ferienwohnung mit sehr großer Terrasse, von der man auf Florenz hinunterschauen kann. Viele Möglichkeiten, Kunst und Kultur, alte Städte anzuschauen oder zu Fuß oder mit dem Mountainbike die schöne toskanische Landschaft zu erkunden.

Ein meditativer Ort

Ruhig und romantisch gelegen in den Hügeln Nahe Florenz. Ein wundervoller Rückzugsort für Zwei, die die Natur lieben. Fiorenza ist eine wundervolle Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns vom ersten Tag an sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist einfach, aber sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Terrasse mit dem herrlichen Blick über das gesamte Umland atemberaubend schön. Wir konnten uns nicht sattsehen. Florenz ist in 20 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Für uns war es ein absolut perfekter Ort und wir werden wiederkommen. Mille Grazie Fiorenza!

Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung

Es war ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt bei unserer Gastgeberin Fiorenza! Ein unglaublich ruhiger und friedlicher Ort, in Mitten der Natur, aber mit dem Auto in 25 min in Florenz. Ein toller Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Toskana! Die Auffahrt zur Unterkunft ist etwas herausfordernd, da die Straße lediglich aus Kies besteht und den Berg hinaufgeht, mit einem VW Passat war es teilweise grenzwertig. Die Unterkunft selbst ist komplett ausgestattet, gemütlich und ruhig. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Gastfreundlichkeit und liebevolle Betreuung - wir kommen gerne wieder!

Disappointing, WiFi not as advertised, no refund

If you don’t need WiFi, won’t be planning to shower here, don’t mind discussing with host whenever you want to go out (so the dogs won’t escape) and don’t mind big dogs, then you might enjoy the lovely landscape views, beautiful dogs, and chatting with the property owner, who is multilingual. In that case, I only have one piece of advice: the road/drive up to the property is *extremely* bumpy. If you’re still reading, here’s the rest of my review: The shower has a plastic mat over the drain that blocks water flow. During my shower, the water backed up and pooled throughout the entire bathroom floor up to and almost out the door. It seemed really unsanitary. Even when that mat is removed, showering still makes most of the bathroom floor wet for a while (there’s a squeegee provided that doesn’t work to make the floor dry). Unfortunately, we had to leave 4 days early because the WiFi wasn’t working enough for video calls and my husband needed that for his remote work. When we brought this up, the owner kept repeating that this had never happened to anyone else and emphasized not to say online that the WiFi didn’t work. This made me extremely uncomfortable. I don’t usually write reviews but it felt important to share this because it was indeed our experience and I hate to think of guests being silenced and reviews/ratings being misleading as a result. No refund given when asked, & unfortunately there’s no policy to protect against this kind of issue with a listing.

Wunderbare Tage in den Hügeln über Florenz

Ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Appartement in wunderschöner Landschaft mit einer ausgesprochen freundlichen Gastgeberin. Das Haus ist am besten mit dem Auto zu erreichen, mit dem Fahrrad war es eine Herausforderung.

Wonderful time away

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The view is spectacular. The small cozy house is comfortable and our hose was lovely. The only drawback is the road up to the house. If you are renting a car, make sure it is an SUV that is not low to the ground. The charm of being in such a wonderful place is that the road is unpaved and if it has rained it can be pretty bumpy.

Wundervoll. Jederzeit wieder!

Eine extrem entspannte Atmosphäre. Einsam und ruhig zwischen Oliven und Feigen. Sehr nah zur Stadt. Eine riesengroße Terrasse nur für uns mit spektakulärem Blick über die Hügel auf Florenz. Inklusive täglichem Sonnenuntergang. Ein süßes Appartment mit allem, was man braucht. Fiorenza steht als Tipp- und Deckengeberin jederzeit bereit. Und nach jedem Ausflug in die Umgebung kann man sich auf das „Nachhausekommen“ freuen.

Herrliche Lage, Anfahrt nicht ganz einfach

Wir verbrachten ein paar wunderbare Tage in diesem Objekt. Lediglich die Anfahrt - durch Regen ausgewaschen - war zu der Zeit für unsere Familienkutsche etwas fordernd. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, sowohl von den House-Sittern wie auch den Hunden. Direkt vom Haus aus kann man schöne Wanderungen machen und danach die unschlagbare Aussicht auf der Terrasse genießen. Sofern die Strasse okay ist jederzeit wieder.

Luogo meraviglioso perso nella campagna toscana

Vivo già a Firenze da alcuni anni, ma per esigenze personali mi sono dovuto appoggiare per alcuni giorni in questo luogo meraviglioso. L'ho scelto per la posizione in collina, immezzo ai boschi, ed ho trovato tutto ciò che cercavo: fresco, tranquillità, contatto con la natura. Il panorama è bellissimo, la terrazza invita a trattenersi fino a tarda notte a sentire i rumori del bosco ed a guardare le poche luci in lontananza. In macchina in 20 minuti al massimo sei a Firenze, anche il Chianti ed il Mugello sono facilmente raggiungibili. La casa è pulita, ben fornita e funzionale. Uniche difficoltà: la strada per arrivarci è sterrata e sconnessa, meglio avere una macchina adatta (non troppo bassa, la mia è abbastanza sportiva ed ogni tanto beccavo qualche sasso sul fondo), e ci sono un bel po' di insetti, ma è inevitabile in campagna in piena estate, basta attrezzarsi con un bel repellente! Consiglio assolutamente il soggiorno per chi vuole visitare Firenze e l'area di Firenza Sud, avendo un bellissimo e riposante rifugio!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft unweit von Florenz

Wir, Claudia und Frank, haben diese Woche bei Fiorenza auf einer Anhöhe bei Bagno a Ripoli sehr genossen. Die Anreise war nach der Wegbeschreibung problemlos. Man sollte aber wissen, das die letzten Meter auf einem Feldweg zurückgelegt werden müssen. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich von Fiorenza und ihren beiden Hunden empfangen. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet was man für den Alltag braucht und auch in ausreichender Menge. Das Bad ist klein aber fein und in dem Bett haben wir hervorragend geschlafen. Für Leute über 1,90m Größe dürfte es aber zu kurz sein. Dann kann man aber auf ein Schlafsofa ausweichen. Die ganze Wohnung/Haus war sehr sauber und ganz wichtig, die Fenster mit Fliegengittern (Mücken) ausgestattet. Was wir auch sehr genossen haben, war die große Terrasse, von der aus man einen fantastischen Blick auf die Umgebung hat. Das Haus steht mitten in einer alten Olivenplantage, wer Ruhe sucht , ist hier richtig.
