Miles Away: Dog-friendly w/furnished decks & private hot tub

New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Offering partial ocean views from multiple furnished decks and a top-floor balcony, this wonderful beach house is sure to be the highlight of your next family getaway to Hatteras Island on the Outer Banks. Inside, you'll find three open and bright floors connected by a central spiral staircase that runs from the lower-level all the way up to the cozy loft. Prepare everyone's favorite recipes in the well-equipped, full kitchen and then dine together or indulge in family game nights at the large table with seating for up to 10 guests. For socializing or relaxing indoors, this home includes three comfortable, fully-furnished living spaces, including two on the middle-level, one of which includes a seasonal gas fireplace. And outside, fire up the gas grill and dine al fresco, pick a seat and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, or slip into your private hot tub after fun-filled days at the beach.

Spacious home, close to beautiful wide beach!

Perfect home for family vacation and we appreciate being able to bring our dogs. Great location in Avon and easy beach access. Plenty of space to enjoy each other and comfortable beds. Great deck space and ocean views!

Miles Away from home, but inches away from the beach!

The house was clean and everything worked great. The owners do a great job making it feel like a home, and it’s right next to the beach so you could not ask for a better location. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Home on the Beach

Loved our stay at Miles Away. Great location. Very short walk to the beach. Great rooms and kitchen. Family enjoyed the hot tub. Very close to Hatteras and cool shops. We will definitely be back.

Miles Away is a wonderful house. It's perfect for just my wife and me for our annual January trip. The location is our favorite, Wahoo! Well equipped with comfortable furnishings. We've stayed multiple times and will be returning in 2025!

We loved our stay at Miles Away! The house is gorgeous and spacious inside and out. We loved the proximity to the beach, literally just a few step's from the front door. Loved the beautiful views of the ocean and sound! The house is very well equipped, and the beds and furniture were very comfortable! It’s the perfect house and would definitely stay here again.

Very nicely maintained home with great top deck views and close beach access

The home has been well maintained. We have stayed here multiple times. The new(er) owners updated the floors with luxury vinyl plank that is easy to clean and looks nice. The decorative updates are nice too. The kitchen is nicely set up and has good equipment. There are multiple decks and a nice hot tub.

Great Outer Banks House

Miles Away is easy to love. It checks all the boxes for an Outer Banks beach house. Steps away from the wonderful beach at Avon. Lots of decks on lots of levels so it seems like there are always sunny spots and shady spots. The indoor sitting areas are spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen large and well-equipped. And I have to say that Vacasa makes check-in and check-out a breeze. A great beach stay.

Home Away from Home!

We had such an incredible stay at Miles Away, it truly felt like we were home! The house was just a couple steps from the beach, with amazing views from each level. You can see both the sunrise (beach side) and sunset (sound side) right from the crows nest (though we recommend taking a quick walk to the beach to see the sunrise at least once!). We loved that we could bring our pup with us, made some great dinners using the gas grill, and enjoyed the hot tub a few nights when the weather got a little cooler. The home had everything we needed for cooking (but don't forget to bring your favorite spices) and we hope we are able to book again for next year! Don't miss out on this home, you won't be disappointed!

Perfect Beach House

Miles Away is a lovely home. Every single thing in the house has been selected and executed with great care. The many decks offer terrific views with sun or shade and options for social gatherings or privacy. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bedrooms are set up to accommodate the maximum number of people and the four full bathrooms are a great plus. The only thing I would warn potential visitors about are the stairs ..The many staircases outside and the spiral staircases inside are not for very young children or anyone with disabilities, including elderly pets. Getting groceries to the top floor can be a challenge, but for us it was worth the effort. We loved our stay and hope to return.
