    Located in the heart of the popular 78704 district of Austin in the Bouldin neighborhood. If you want to see Austin this is where you want to be. Near to all of what Austin has to offer whether it be Barton Springs, The Long Center of Performing Arts, Lady Bird Lake, Zachary Scott Theater, Austin's Hike and bike trails or the sights and sounds of downtown you will be between 0.5 to 1.5 miles of all of these venues. South First street is rapidly becoming the new place to go for great new food trailers!
    Hill House sits on a corner hill top lot in a quiet eclectic South Austin neighborhood with a newly updated kid and dog friendly pocket park across the street.
    You will have all the comforts of home with a covered car port, two outside eating areas with private court yard and additional separate large fenced yard for family and pets. This home was completely renovated in the fall of 2010 with all new kitchen and remodeled bath. Floors are original hardwoods with tiled kitchen and bath. Ceiling fans in both bedrooms and living room. LCD, HDTV and an ipod docking/speaker system. Furnishings are well appointed with new beds, linens and comfy pillows. Fresh whole bean coffee provided for your pleasure. Please note if you are bringing a pet, we require a pet fee to be paid at time of booking, For stays of longer than a few days or for multiple pets please ask us about our fees.

Hill House was comfortable and a perfect location for a nearby family event as well as easy access to many Austin landmarks. We especially appreciated the beach towels in the closet that we made use of to visit Barton Springs. The neighborhood is lovely as well and we had fun stumbling on the Octopus house, a private residence that boasts a huge mural of an octopus on the front facade, just down the street.

Best Location and Great Host

We had such a wonderful stay in Austin. The house was clean, perfectly located and very dog and baby friendly! We will be coming here and only here for our Austin trips in the future - the host is so welcoming and caring and ensures everything is exactly as you need it - thank you!

Exactly as described and it was a great stay.

We had a great time in Austin and the property is very well maintained, probably a step above others in terms of quality of cookware and stocking of the kitchen.It was everything we wanted it to be and we all had a lovely time in Austin.

Fantastic home in a great location!

This home was a great place to stay. The owners are communicative and very helpful. The home is clean, cozy, in a great location and with great outdoor areas to relax. I am looking forward to the next trip.

Great Location

We had a great weekend stay! The house was very clean and in a great location. Communication was easy and check in/checkout were a breeze. The beds were a little firm and squeaky, but we had a great overall stay.

Great stay!

Comfortable and great “home base” for our stay in Austin! Location was ideal for events at the Palmer Event center. So many great food and activity options nearby. Thanks to Carole for recommending Barton Springs Pool…it was the a family favorite!

Great place to stay in Austin

We came here to stay for the weekend for a family wedding at a venue nearby. The hosts are great and very communicative and made our stay here memorable for a variety of reasons. Great location with lots to do nearby, great neighborhood to walk around in (and very safe) and the house was great to stay in — everything you see in the pictures. Highly recommend staying here.

Excellent location, comfortable home

My stay at hill house was great! The house was clean, bed was comfortable, and the location was not only quiet but convenient to everything in Austin. This corner property is also a great spot for dog watching, as people in the area walk their dogs to the park across the s treet that has a trail.

Great location.

Bouldin is an awesome neighborhood right outside downtown. The house met my needs and was comfortable and clean. It is a no-frills small home that checks the boxes, and the hosts were very responsive.

Weekend Stay

This house worked perfectly for my family of 5. It sits in a quiet neighborhood in a great location that is close to a lot of terrific Austin attractions. It was very nice to have a couple of outdoor areas, including the park / walking trail across the street.

Very clean, it had everything we needed.Close to downtown and restaurants and food trucks. The driveway was tight for a full size pickup but it's manageable. Highly recommended

Great spot for the family

Carol was so helpful to bring out a high hair and pack & play for our baby. She also checked in to make sure everything was fine which was nice. The AC was nice and cool for a heat wave that melted us Pacific Northwest visitors. Thanks for a great stay!

Quiet neighborhood, thoughtful touches

We really enjoyed our weekend at this property. Great restaurants are within a short walking distance, the neighborhood is safe and quiet, and there are thoughtful touches which made our stay perfect. We enjoyed a dip in Barton Springs pool and were so glad the home owners provided beach towels. The backyard was perfect for our dogs to chase their tennis ball and also was nicely shaded by a beautiful oak tree. We will definitely try to return to this home next time we are in Austin for a weekend.

Great location!

Cute little house in great location. Very clean and well stocked. Several outdoor spaces to enjoy the weather. Located across the street from a small park and walking trail. We stayed for ACL Music Festival and the house was easily walkable to Zilker. They kept the old charm of the house without it feeling dated. Owner was nearby and very responsive.

The house was very clean and well furnished. We did not cook there so cannot comment on this. There is an extended back yard which was great so we could let our dogs out in the morning and evening. The neighborhood has many dog owners so our dogs had many new smells and loved it. We visited the Warren Wildlife Gallery in the neighborhood. Quite impressive outside and inside. The little park across the street was great for quick walks with the dogs. Zilker park is near by for a swim, biking or walker. Because it was Memorial Day weekend, it was quite crowded. The only tricky part is the driveway. It is narrow and bound by a cement wall on each side. We had a small fender binder late at night in the rain! Parking is available on the street. The host was very accommodating and answered all questions quickly.

The only thing better than the house was the property owners

This house is an absolute gem. The house is in a perfect location and the hosts were so welcoming. Can’t recommend enough and next time we’re in Austin this will be our first choice.

Perfection!

The place was perfect for our trip to Austin with our 9 month old son. Our hosts provided excellent recommendations, and so much was within walking distance. The house is was the perfect set up for a small family, and they even provided a crib and high chair for us. We’re already trying to figure out when we can come back!!

Comfortable and cozy oasis in a great location

Everything about the house was comfortable including the bed! We had everything we needed and the backyard was well appointed (lounge chairs, table, grill) and perfect for our senior dog. Cute and quiet neighborhood. Carole was a super host and checked in several times to make sure everything was OK. We would stay here again.

Great Location!

We shortened our stay because of the world! We are healthy but felt the need to go home. Carole was so great! The house is just as described! Plenty of street parking, great walking to everything. We'll be back to continue our discovery of Austin.

Great location and so clean!

We loved this property. Everything was so clean and well organized. My husband and I were here with our daughter, her husband and 3 month old baby for a wedding. The house had everything we needed. They even supplied the pack and play! Cute little areas to relax outside from a side porch to back yard seating. Owners were very helpful and easy to reach.
