Never judge a book by its cover.

I booked this property after checking out the very favorable reviews. The photos are misleading and obviously old ones. The maintenance of the property was lacking along with the overall cleanliness of the condo/duplex. If you like a very firm mattress, you will be happy, my shoulders are not. The location is relatively close to downtown Georgetown, although the neighborhood was definitely not the quietest during our visit. Unfortunately, we will not be a repeat customer. I will not post photos, but I took plenty.

Great Place in G Town

This house was excellent. Very very clean, quiet, and well-equipped. No issues with booking or check in. It is convenient to the square and Sun City. Good communication from host. Recommended for travel to GTown if you need a home base.

The perfect spot!

We enjoyed our stay at Friends and Poppies. The home was very clean and well kept. At the last minute, we needed to bring our doodle. The host was very accommodating and they had a nice yard to enjoy in the back. We made most of our meals at the house and they had plenty of cookware. Location was very close to the historical downtown area. Great spot! Five stars from us!

Quail Valley Dr. stay

The property was excellent. Clean, well maintained, plenty of room and had all accessories we needed. Could have used more towels however. We found the size to be just perfect. And, we were close to Southwestern University, which is why we were in Georgetown. Would stay again.

Beautiful home

Clean, updated home

We were just looking for a clean and safe place to stay for my daughters wedding and this place was great for that. It was comfortable, the checkin and checkout process was simple and we enjoyed the stay. It was a few miles from the Georgetown square so it was not within walking distance. Since we were not there for sight seeing it did not matter to us, it was a perfect stay.

Georgetown Gem

The Friends and Poppies House is one of the most comfortable and well-appointed houses we’ve had the pleasure to rent. Its location is very convenient to Southwestern University and downtown with easy access to I 35. The kitchen is filled not only with necessary cookware and utensils, but there are appliances you don’t expect to find (crock pot, insta oven, Keurig). Bedding and towels were comfortable and there were plenty of extras. The fenced backyard is lovely and included a grill and outdoor eating area. A full sized washer and dryer are included along with detergent and dryer sheets. We highly recommend the Friends and Poppies House!

Grandma's in Town

We took Grandma with us and this was her first experience in an Airbnb. She enjoyed visiting with her grandson that attends SU. It is in a quiet neighborhood with Georgetown soccer complex in back. We did not hear any of the games or practices that were being held there during our stay. It was easy to get to all our events that we had planned with our son and his friends for the weekend. The backyard was cute but the front did lack a bit of maintenance and the walk way to the front door needs to be redone. But other than that it was a great weekend and the hosts were quick to respond to an issues! Will definitely try to stay here again!
