"The Black Bear Lodge is one of the best places to stay in Western Maryland, especially if you enjoy entertaining. It has a perfect layout with a big deck and a nice living room area. And then on the lower floor is a nice game room. There are HDTVs in every single guest room.And here is a great extra plus: the top floor master bedroom has its own bathroom and a small loft which can double as an office. If you need a little break from your guests, you can retreat up there and get some quiet time...

"I took my kids snowboarding to wisp and stayed here. I've done this a bunch and stayed a lot of different houses in the deep Creek area, and I can say that this is definitely the best one we've stayed at. It's only about 10 minutes from wisp. It was immaculate when we came inside, and it literally had everything you needed. I forgot my toothbrush and they even had new toothbrushes in the bathroom. "This is our second time staying at this property. George and Kelli are remarkable hosts. They are both very communicative and responsive. What we most appreciate about this property is the cleanliness and comfort. I am VERY picky when it comes to cleanliness and I have zero complaints about this home. The beds are very comfortable as well as the furnishings. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and there is an additional bathroom on the main floor. There is ample room for several people to sleep....
