I did not realize the hot tub was on the managers property when I booked, and luckily they weren’t home so we didn’t have to worry about sharing. "This is a hotel opened in 1924. The hotel is full of classic wordwork and charm. Although the building is old, the rooms have been updated and are very comfortable. Nice continental breakfast each morning. Great location in the middle of the downtown Astoria area, with many wonderful shops and restaurants within an easy walking distance. Easy two block to the trolley station for the trolley which runs along the waterfront on the Columbia River."

"People matters. We had an issue with the reservation. Apparently the system had it cancelled and the receptionist at first doesn't care about us. So 1 hour and a half waiting for Expedia to solve the problem. But finally the receptionist person change shifts and the next one just give us back our reservation and room.
