"Parking was free via a ticket from the motel. The carpark was gravel which made moving the heavy cases difficult. Our room was at the very end of the ground floor so it was a fair hike to get there, this could have been problematic if there had been any mobility issues The room itself although starting to show its age was good Staff were excellent and it was novel to have a bowling alley as part of the complex. A great hotel across the road for meals."

"Great hotel in a really great spot. The hotel has a restaurant and there are also heaps of takeaway and eating options very close by. Lots of parking. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were really really comfy and the shower was amazing. The water pressure was incredible. Staff were really friendly and helpful. "

"Wow! An amazing experience at a beautiful property, with outstanding service. We stayed for 2 nights at the end of our travels in NZ, and this was truly the highlight of our trip. The setting is stunning, the food is outstanding, and the room is beautiful. But the staff are what make the place really special. " Check in by Fiona was pathetic and unwelcoming as we travelled a long flight for 2 days and the staffs at reception was not helpful at all and Fionas tone of voice was not welcoming at all and kept asking me for a credit card that did not belong to us as it was a virtual card on file. None of the three staffs offered to take our 6 suitcases to our room and that broke my heart. The room was superb 👌 i had a great sleep as well. Being a Hotel General Manager and as an ex Housekeeping Supervisor...

"The staff and room were great, however there is a serious lack in parking and the construction sounds were sometimes overbearing (to be fair this is only a temporary problem and when the construction finishes I think there will be more parking and less noise)"

"We stayed in two different rooms as we added a night last minute. The decor was fun; the bathrooms were exquisite; the space spacious. Breakfast was delightful and tasty. Happy hour was a nice touch and allowed us to meet other guests. The front porch had the most spectacular view of the town and water and was enjoyable to hang out on.The hostesses were gracious, helped with reservations, luggage and parking the car. A delightful stay."

"Beautiful, spacious room in a convenient location. On-site parking was $20 per day, which felt reasonable. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The fireplace was a lovely touch and kept the room warm and cosy, the room itself was very well insulated, and the shower pressure was excellent. There were a few downsides.
