Aspectos negativos: Limpieza y instalaciones y estado del alojamiento
The property was located near the Arnprior Weir on the Madawaska River, so if you like white noise, it's kinda neat. It's a basic hotel, but relatively decent. The attached restaurant is not open however, so be warned.
That said, we had a serious issue with the cleanliness of the place (or lack thereof). The laminate flooring in the room was dirty (if you wore socks or bare feet, it looked like you were outside walking around). Definitely needed a mop out!
Making matters worse, the housekeepers decided not to change the bedding in our room (we stayed three nights)...the first night, at least we got clean towels and refreshed shampoo/soap. The second night, no one cleaned a thing!
We were in Ottawa most days to visit with my sister in hospital, so when we returned (usually after 9 p.m.) there was no point complaining as the cleaning staff is only there during the day.
I appreciate it's a basic hotel, but daily cleaning of a room is a basic understanding that guests have. I should have complained on day one, but I honestly just thought it was an oversight.
Be wary is my recommendation - and if you see an issue, report it immediately as I got the impression this might have been a way for management to cut costs for multi-night guests.
