  • The boat rocks gently and sometimes a bit more. Very relaxing and private. Everything you need is on board. Being on the water doesn’t take special skills but it helps if you are able to manouvre on and of the ship. It is a bit of an adventure and certanly not a everyday kind of stay

My friend and I booked Casey's boat for a short break. It was in a gorgeous location very peaceful with good views. It is comfortable clean and a lovely space. The host was so friendly and helpful we couldn't wish for a nicer reception. We would definitely visit again.

This was such a unique and fun stay! Close enough to the city to walk (a very pretty walk) to the bus station and take public transportation everywhere, but far enough away that it was very peaceful. Some of the best sleep I've had with the boat rocking us to sleep every night.

This was an absolutely fabulous part of our trip! We loved the boat and the host was very helpful. I would recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper as the sound of the water can get quite loud in the night if it’s stormy out but the rocking of the waves is incredibly comforting.

Rent bikes from the local yacht club (2.5 days for 2 bikes was €50)

We had such a lovely stay on the boat; far enough away from the city to feel like a proper little escape, but super easy to access, (we ventured in everyday), & you don’t have to embark on an epic expedition to get there. There’s something rather magical about being gently rocked to sleep by the bob of the waves. Far better than a lullaby, and considerably more nautical. We loved spending lazy time on the deck with a book, watching the world drift by, and then settling around the table for a few rounds of cards in the evening (with varying degrees of sporting behaviour, naturally). A really nice bonus is that the listing is attached to Casey’s houseboat, so Casey is right there and available to help if you need anything, while still giving you plenty of space to enjoy your stay. Highly recommended for anyone agile and open minded, looking for something a little different in their visit to Amsterdam.

The houseboat was comfortable and our host was so friendly and accommodating. While we loved our stay, it's worth noting that the location is further from the city centre than we had expected and amenities like the washroom are not what we expected (cannot flush toilet paper and very small shower). We did not mind this being avid campers, but figured its worth noting for other people who may want more comfortable features for their vacation.

Der Aufenthalt auf dem Boot mit dem Wellengang war für uns "Landratten" eine ganz neue Erfahrung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Herzlichen Dank an unseren Gastgeber, Casey, für dieses tolle Wochenende.

Spotlessly clean, really incredible experience, lovely and quiet calming environment, so comfortable with everything we needed. Host is super helpful and kind and was always there anything we wanted help with but also gave us privacy. Can’t recommend this experience enough…wish we could stay longer…we slept so well and had the best time! Loved it!

Tolle Unterkunft, sollte jeder mal gemacht haben. Die Stadt ist gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen. Wirklich toll dort. Sehr herzlicher, lieber Empfang. Würde direkt wieder hin fahren.

It was our first time staying on a boat, and it was a great experience! The boat is anchored in a calm spot surrounded by nature, yet it’s only a short trip to the bustling Amsterdam city center. Our host Casey was very friendly and helped us settle in right away. We felt very welcome and can warmly recommend this accommodation if you’re up for a little adventure.

Familienkurztrip in Amsterdam

The boat was well maintained and very clean. Casey is a wonderful host. We shared some wine and Dutch cheese and watched the sunset from the boat platform. Enjoyed every minute of our stay!
