"We had a lovely stay. Andrew was a great host and showed us everything we needed. The bar was humming and our dinner was fabulous. We had a great nights sleep. The renovated bathroom was excellent and had a nice big shower. Room 2 was lovely overall. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.. Overall we had a lovely overnight stay at the Cricketers Inn and would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. "

"I didn't like this place. First impression: the furniture and fittings were so cheap and nasty. It has the appearance of everything having been chosen from a catalogue, remotely, with the objective of paying the least possible. Second, the staff were miserable and unhelpful; no one smiled, they just seemed to moan among themselves (although in fairness I would probably be miserable if I had to work there). On the positive side, the place was very clean, and the cleaners seemed quite jolly,...

"Useful location but very close to the A30. Nice hotel/former coaching Inn with friendly welcome. Plenty of parking. Good breakfast. The good size double room had a kettle with coffee bags, fan, hairdryer, iron and ironing board plus large TV. The mattress was a bit too firm for our comfort though."

"Beautiful room and en-suite in a lodge with four others, tucked away at the back of the garden. Very comfortable. Especially appreciated two armchairs, decent size fridge and small outside area with table and chairs. Evening meal in the pub was also excellent. Lovely beer garden and attentive hosts. We didn't have breakfast as making an early start but ordered a packed lunch which was very handy."

"We stayed here for one night after a day in Winchester. A nice enough hotel, with staff pleasant enough. The room we stayed in was small but well kept. The main issue we had was that the room was that next to a staff run through, meaning doors were slammed constantly. Further, there was no air conditioning, and the room we were in at the bottom floor was next to a busy beer table and had lots and lots of mosquitoes, meaning we were bitten to heck! "My second visit in 2 months based on my first, very positive experience. Again I booked the dinner, bed and breakfast package for a similar value to a bed and breakfast stay elsewhere. I was given a room on the ground floor close to the dining area and rear entrance which suited me fine. Parking was easy and dinner was tremendous. I went for the same walk to Chawton. A great night's sleep was followed by a great breakfast and I left again very fulfilled with my accommodation experience."
