"I had to communicate with the owners prior to our stay, and they were very helpful and quick to respond. Their house is beautiful! We had a row boat and 3 kayaks to use, too. It was an awesome weekend get away!"

"Our family stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend. Beautiful big backyard. The view was just amazing & sunsets didnt disappoint. It was such a quite & relaxing place. The cottage was warm and very cozy. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner. (Super thankful for that! ) & our doggies loved their stay! "Perfect cute little cabin. Great location with view of long lake and short walk to boat launch to view the lake. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The host was great with easy communication. Short drive to Rockport state park and only 15 minutes to Alpena. We will likely plan to stay here again."

"The lake house was very nice. With all the windows facing the lake It has a great view of the lake which was really nice to wake up to each morning. The house was very clean was well stocked with the essentials. The kitchen included everything you need and the great room had plenty of seating for all. The owner was easy to get in contact with if you have any questions or issues."

"Kitchen had every tool, grill was awesome. Hot tub, was great to watch the stars. Only thing I would have asked is a heads up on the neighbors letting their dogs run free. Beyond that, perfect stay."

"Our cabin was nice, simple and clean . Bedrooms nice, common area nice . Shower was a good one. John supplied the wood for indoor wood burning stove ( the source of heat for the cabin) . We needed to bring up our own wood for outdoor fire pit. We rented his pontoon for the day , easy to use .. super fun. Will be back ."

"We had a great time at our stay on Hubbard Lake. The owner lives right across the street so he is there if you need anything but never once made us feel as if we were being watched. I have stayed elsewhere where we felt as if the owner watched us the entire stay. This was not the case here! We had a great time. If I had to be picky and complain about something I would say it can get a little warm in the cabins with no ac but it was over 90 our entire stay. Also, the parking is very limited."

"In the area for an anniversary getaway, and found this reasonably priced cottage. First, everything we needed to know or that could have been an issue upon arrival was covered by the owner of the property long before we even left for the trip. The communication from the owners was exceptional and had us prepared for the visit. The location was wonderful, it was extremely quiet and peaceful. "We had a great week on Long Lake. Chet and Lauren have done a lot of work on their property, and it shows. The cabins were very quaint, comfortable and clean, especially the beds. I like that we brought all our own linens and bedding, I feel that is more efficient for both owner and guest. The lake, the use of the resort's aluminum rowboats (we attached our own motor), grills, firepit and outdoor furniture made it a fun, relaxing week and we all agreed we would definitely like to return to...
