"Great time"

"Hotel fine for a quick stopover. I thought Malmaison was a little more upmarket than I found it but room was a good size, clean and the bed was comfortable - my only complaint was that you could hear a lot of voices from the corridor and adjoining room but this didn’t continue too late into the night. Reception staff were pleasant enough but slow and unable to help with basic questions such as ‘where can I find a postbox?’. The hotel was in a good location for what I needed and I would stay...

"The hotel is situated just outside the Mail box and overlooks the canal network in the heart of Birmingham. Excellent location and handy car park. Lots of bars, shops and restaurants within a pleasant stroll. The hotel itself is quite minimalist but has a bar, coffee area and breakfast restaurant. "the good: great location, nice pool area, snacks and water available all the time. Bad: not clean, smelled cleaning products when we arrived, took a while for te smell to go away. didnt bring extra pilows when i asked fot it, the reception said that it was on the way but never received it. Did't refill the coffee paper cups."

Rooms were comfortable It is a convenient distance from the coach station and the shopping area, but the area is very rough, and didn't always feel safe. However the room was not well maintained with a cracked pane of glass in the window, grubby corners, badly marked paintwork. Having booked the room online and seen it - I was not advised that the room was in the attic, and that there were 2 flights of stairs to access it. the second one being very steep and narrow. "Great welcome and easy guide through the services available during the stay. Apartment equipped with all you would need for a short visit. Sofa bed was very comfortable and easy to bring out and put away. Probably one of the calmest places I've stayed in. Great location for easy access to the city. "Stayed here with a friend in a twin room. Was lovely and clean and tidy. The bathroom still smelt of bleach was so clean. TV and hairdryer in the room. Beds were comfy. We had a drink in the bar and it was reasonably priced. All the staff we spoke to were super friendly. We walked from the bull ring and it took about 10 minutes. The hotel is near the Mailbox so we went there for food."
