We had a lovely stay! The place is beautiful and the host, Liliana was very friendly and helpful. Loved the amazing property and especially the pool area. We used the kitchen and barbecue area frequently and had everything we needed. Really recommend staying here!

A great place to stay just as advertised. The location is a little out of the way; not too many amenities in walking distance - you need a car to get places and have to be bold with your driving! Pool was wonderful, lots of history in the house and Liliana was a great host. The whole family enjoyed it.

Amazing stay in this dreamlike castle. Liliana was very helpful. Off the beaten path spot, we were the only foreigners in town. Close to major spots. Only suggestion would be new towels but highly recommend staying here.

Amazingly beautiful house with incredible views of Etna and the Ionian Sea. A castle full of so much character and history with a lovely swimming pool and olive grove. Our host, Liliana, was very friendly, knowledgeable and hospitable, the wine and cake were very welcome. A holiday like no other and always to be remembered.

A wonderful place to stay, a great setting, easy walk to bars/ restaurants/ the sea. Amazing views of etna and the sea from the roof terrace. Lots of fascinating pictures, maps and artefacts throughout the house. We had fabulous weather at the end of October, we used the beautiful pool most days.

Amazing castle with extensive garden & private pool set in a lovely small village. Views of the sea and Etna. Balcony and roof terrace as well as two tower rooms. Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. There are several vineyards nearby and lots of fantastic places to and visit nearby. Warmly recommend this place for family holidays.

We had the most wonderful week at Castle Claves. The castle, gardens and pool were even more stunning than the pictures. The resident Liliana was utterly delightful, charming, helpful and completely respected our privacy. The castle is rich in history and full of atmosphere. We felt transported into an authentic little paradise. The only downfall was having to leave at the end of our stay... We couldn't recommend this magical experience more and are already planning our return next year!

The castle is old and charming. Liliana is the best host I have ever met, you truly feel welcome and connected to her family history. The is very big and we could still enjoy it at the end of October. The only negative thing in my sensitive point of view are the barking dogs in the neighborhood.

Le lieu est magique. Au-delà de sa beauté, de l’espace, de la (grande) piscine, nous avons été touchés par l’histoire qui s’en dégage. Le château a une âme, ce qui change du caractère impersonnel qu’on peut rencontrer parfois dans certaines locations... Tout cela est renforcé par la gentillesse de Liliana, à la fois discrète et tellement chaleureuse. Nous (2 familles de 9 personnes au total) avons été vraiment privilégiés de passer une semaine dans cette demeure au pied du majestueux Etna.

A beautiful castle in a stunning location. The host is very welcoming and helpful. The pool is brilliant. The wildlife, birds and lizards in the day and little bats at night were a real pleasure for us. The garden was full of flowers and picking lemons from the trees was a real treat. The castle is crammed with amazing objects but ok for two lively boys (7 and 5). The property is close to various places of interest. Don’t miss Lorenzo's restaurant in the next village. Highly recommend for a memorable holiday.

Liliana hat uns sehr nett empfangen und uns eine Führung durch das Anwesen gegeben und von der Geschichte des Hauses erzählt. Sie war immer verfügbar, wenn wir was gebraucht haben. Der Poolbereich ist sehr großzügig und eignet sich hervorragend um ganze Nachmittage dort zu verbringen. Die Zimmer und die Bäder waren sehr sauber, aber das Haus ist alt, das sollte man bedenken, wenn man sich für das schöne Castello entscheidet und daher auch mit etwas Patina rechnen. Alles in allem hatten wir eine wunderbare Woche im Castello verbracht. Auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen, wenn man als Größere Gruppe unterwegs ist!

Liliana ist die beste Gastgeberin, die man sich denken kann. Freundlich, unaufdringlich und soooo nett. Das Haus ist mit allem Interieur aus dem frühen 20. Jahrhundert. Das muss man mögen und wir haben das sehr genossen. Das bekommt man nicht alle Tage. Der Pool hat uns viel Spaß gemacht. Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen. Ins Turmzimmer sollte allerdings nur, wer dazu noch körperlich und Lage ist.

Our stay was absolutely incredible in Lilianas castle! A truly unique experience, incredible history and beautiful antiques everywhere. The pool area is the best I have ever experienced in a holiday rental. Enormous and plenty of comfy seating for everyone to lounge. Lots of nearby great days out. The pictures do not do the grandeur justice. Do not hesitate to book, you wll not regret it!! Oh and Liliana is absolutely lovely!! 10/10 experience ????

Ett så vackert slott. Varenda detalj är vald med omtanke, fotografier på familjen, antika möbler och föremål. Tack Liliana för att du där så generös och lånar ut ditt hem till oss. Vi har verkligen njutit av att efter äventyr på ön komma "hem" till kastellet. Vi trängdes i det gemytliga köket och lagade pasta vid den stora spisen. Middagen avnjöt vi i matsalen med en fantastisk utsikt över trädgården och medelhavet. Frukosten tidig morgon med solen skinande genom de stora fönsterpartierna och en espresso på terassen kommer vi att bära med oss för alltid. Tack också för våra fina samtal. Eva-Maria, Ulrich, Heli, Michael, Pamela och Åke.

This is a large unique place with huge amounts of old world charm. Everything works and everthing is there. But in addition there are photos, pictures, furniture, lights, mirrors going back across family generations since the place was built. Massive character. The beds are old and perhaps they could do with modern linen. There was no TV which was great. You can see Etna clearly from the back. The garden was massive and somewhat overgrown. The pool was excellent but cold but this is what you would expect for May. The place is very secure. Some local dogs bark from time to time. The sheer charm of the place, the many rooms, the staircase, the large veranda where we had dinner several times, are the best memories. And Liliana the host was exceptionally nice.
