"What a gem! Inn the Woods is a lovely B&B very close to the FDR home and museum, the Vanderbilt mansion, and so much more. The hosts provided thoughtful touches in our room, such as a small fridge with bottled water, bedside lamps with USB ports, and plenty of hooks in the bathroom. And the breakfasts! "Our stay was rather disappointing. The property seems neglected. Some lightbulbs in the bathroom were not working . The coffee maker was really filthy inside. Instead of breakfast we were offered some packaged pastry from a gas station. Plus, there were a bunch of insects in the room. "The owners did masterful work restoring this home yet paid so much attention in providing up-to-date amenities that people have come to expect. Every convenience was thought of and there were wonderful treats and surprises at every turn. "We came up from Brooklyn to see the hot air balloons with my parents and it was just what we needed. Our Host Glen is very gracious and helpful! We loved staying at the Farm. The church and the grounds are beautiful. Glen provided us with fresh eggs, milk and honey. We were also allowed to pick tomatoes from his garden. All very delicious. "
