"Booked last minute for a meeting in Sheffield. Low price and lovely little room. I wasn't aware it was next to university halls though so be aware on weekends I imagine it gets rowdy as the bar in the hotel is open 24 hours (I was told on check in). Also note the car park is small, I arrived at 9pm and struggled to park having to do 2 loops, they'll give you a permit at reception to pop in your windscreen. However all in all a decent hotel for what I paid. The bed was a tad hard for me after a...

"Very friendly welcome and a lovely room. The staff were so helpful and the cooked breakfasts were excellent. But the DJ night didn't finish at 11 as the in-room message said it would (midnight, then bar noise for another while) ; the fire alarm went off the next night (quickly cancelled so clearly accidentally) but then you could hear furniture being moved around in the bar/cafe in the small hours... I guess for cleaning. I'd recommend taking earplugs. "

"Really comfortable and friendly pub hotel. I arrived late and had to leave fairly early and they were really kind helping to make sure I had breakfast before leaving. The room was cosy and comfortable with some nice homely touches. "

"No shower gel or soap in the bathroom. House keeping should check on the bottles of gel everyday. Room service was ok, but I won’t come back. I phoned front desk and house keeping numbers for several minutes and no one ever answer. Poor service ! "
