"Usually an excellent place to stay. On this visit however we asked the staff on the first day not to bother making the room up. After that we didn't get any service at all until we asked 2 days later. After being out all day we came back to discover the room was made but we had absolutely no towels and it didn’t appear the bathroom had been properly cleaned. When housekeeping sent someone up to bring some towels he was obviously less than happy to assist. Not up to their usual standards "

"My stay at Holiday Inn Express Midtown was overall just decent for the price. It’s an older building, and that definitely shows throughout the property. You get what you pay for. There were a few frustrations during my stay. I was surprised to see bottled water in the room came with a charge, which felt a bit nickel-and-dime for a hotel at this level. Additionally, I was woken up early by housekeeping banging on the door around 7am, which wasn’t ideal. The elevator situation was also a...

"The hotel stay was great. The room was very clean and the breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful. They have plenty of onsite parking which most hotels don’t have or charge you extra for. Can’t ask for more that. I would definitely stay here again if I’m back in the area. Oh and the neighborhood is very safe with shopping and places to eat that you can walk to across the street. I don’t ever write reviews so that says something. "

"Great stay! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and Edgar was especially helpful throughout our visit. The room was spacious by NYC standards and very clean. There was some noise from construction outside, but that was no fault of the hotel. I’d definitely recommend earplugs for sleeping if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely stay here again."
