Beautiful family lodge with all the comforts of home

Cleary Lane Lodge offers guests a chance to relax and unwind in a charming, well maintained 4 bedroom, 3 bath brick home located in a tranquil wooded setting. Perfect for a couple or family getaway, or when in town for reunions, graduations or weddings. Ideal location for corporate or temporary housing for 1 to 8 people. NEW for reservations beginning 9/1/23... FIRST floor master bedroom and bath.
Outside expect to see deer, turkey, and most likely hear a rooster crow while inside you will enjoy a tastefully decorated interior with all the comforts of home: high speed internet with smart TVs. Cozy up by the gas fireplace in the large living room with 65" flat screen tv, or enjoy family time around the 6 person dining table in the lower level kitchen-dining area with outdoor patio, grille and fire pit.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a Keurig & drip coffee maker, microwave, stove, dishwasher, service for 8, spices & pantry items, and a stackable washer & dyer. Each of the 4 bedrooms has premium bed linens & flat screen tv; king tempurpedic in master, pillow top queen beds in 2 bedrooms and a Serta twin daybed & twin trundle in the 3rd bedroom. The lower level family room has a comfortable Twin Daybed used as a sofa, with a twin trundle underneath. Both the upstairs and downstairs trundles are recommended for children, not adults. With a library of books for kids & adults, games, puzzles, and DVDs. You will find plenty to do inside & out with yard games including corn hole & croquet.

Whether you’re looking for the great outdoors or a quaint main street town steeped in history, nearby Zelienople and Harmony offer both.  WIth a thriving food and beverage scene, specialty shops, boutiques, yoga studios, and museums, Zelienople and neighboring Harmony have much to offer. Located in the rural suburbs of Pittsburgh, this Butler County town provides is the perfect escape from city life; from the hiking trails and historical houses to the microbreweries and eateries, this is truly something for everyone

We visited Zelienople for a golf trip built around attending the US Open at Oakmont and playing golf in the area. The house was located in a very quiet area that was also remarkably close to the highway. This was very convenient as each of our day trips took us in different directions. The house was very clean and a relaxing refuge each evening after long days in the sun.

Graduation Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this property while in town for our daughter’s graduation! Communication with host was smooth. House provided plenty of room for our party of 7 as well as a graduation dinner one evening where we had 12 in the home. There were plenty of utensils, plates, cups, serving dishes/utensils and even paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent and dishwasher pods. If I had any critique it would be the awkward lip going down into the master bedroom and also up in the master bath. I smacked my toes on the lip going out of the bedroom into the kitchen when I was moving quickly on the first day which left bruises (definitely a self correcting problem!) It looks like the owners remodeled a garage and turned it into a master suite which would explain the level changes. The location was nice and quiet rural residential. We found this required a 45-60 minute drive to get to the downtown area every day for various events including graduation, shopping, picking up catering and graduation cake. This did eat up some time for us and something to be aware of if most of your plans take you in or around the downtown area. Overall, we had a great stay!

Lovely Comfortable Roomy Home

Truly a lovely, comfortable, roomy home! So often houses that can sleep a large number don't have the bathrooms to accomodate everyone well, but with 3 full baths, this house is a gem. Our family was in Pittsburgh for our daughter's wedding and this was a wonderful home away from home. Clean, comfortable, tucked away from the bustle of Pittsburgh yet convenient to church and reception venue. Check-in and check-out instructions were complete and clear.Wonderful Stay!

Stunning

If you’re looking for a place to stay that’s convenient to so many places in this area this is the place for you. The house is beautifully decorated, cozy and comfortable, we all slept very well. There’s plenty of room for a family and equipped with everything you need to be comfortable. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Zelienople Long Weekend

We had an amazing long weekend at this location. The home was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was quick to respond to a question we had and very helpful. This house is nicely tucked away but within close driving distance to downtown. Overall, all positives!

Enjoyed Our Stay

Had a very enjoyable fall vacation at this great house that feels tucked away in the woods but actually a very convenient location close to shopping, restaurants and two major expressways. Visited the small towns nearby, a great state park with a covered bridge and a day in Pittsburgh. The house is lovely, very clean and comfortable, roomy and nicely decorated. The owners responded quickly to a couple questions I had. Would love to stay here again.

Extended family visit

We enjoyed another visit to our PA home away from home! Linda made certain the outdoor lights were on for our late arrival. The setting was peaceful and lovely. I was able to make many meals, even a birthday cake, utilizing the well-equipped kitchen. The garage conversion is a nice additional bedroom, bathroom and closet. The house is a perfect place for our annual trip to PA.

Very comfortable stay

Although we spent very little time at the house, we enjoyed the time we did have there. The accommodations were great and the location was excellent for where we needed to be each day. This home has lots of space, 3 baths, room for everyone. Great location for getting to Wexford, Downtown Pittsburgh, etc. Kitchen was well stocked. Private location surrounded by woods. We had a great stay.

Family Reunion

Linda was a gracious host. We only spent evenings and mornings there, as we were obligated to be at other locations for family functions. But the house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the house was well stocked. And there were plenty of towels! We appreciated that. It was a lovely visit.

Perfect Pittsburgh wedding location

What a beautiful and comfortable. We were in town for my Son’s wedding in Pittsburgh. Both the reception venue and rehearsal dinner location were nearby. This house was perfect for getting ready but even more so for relaxing together in the evenings. We didn’t avail ourselves of the fire pit and offered s’mores but we sure enjoyed the local wine and the opportunity to visit with family who drove in from Illinois and flew in from Tucson. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals together and the downstairs fridge held many leftovers! I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat. The Bride didn’t see it until we were packing to leave but both she and my neice exclaimed “ this place is so nice and cute”. Beautifully and comfortably decorated in a lovely area North of Pittsburgh. Host was very accomodating too!

Charming family place

We just love this little getaway, north of Pittsburgh. It is close to the city (30 minutes). The house is fully stocked, super comfortable, and great for our loaded family of 7. The 3 bed rooms fit the kids wonderfully. There was plenty of space to have your own time away and be with family. They provide everything you need for your stay, and the house is full of excellent decor. You can tell they sincerely care about their guests. They even left smores for our kids to use. Unfortunately it rained the entire time, so we couldn’t use them around the fire. But the thoughtfulness is certainly above and beyond. If we are in the area again, we will stay here for sure!!

Quiet Home Near Pittsburgh (25 min to ball parks)

We were lucky to have 3 days of perfect weather here…60’s and sunny. Toured Pittsburgh with friends who live there…well worth going into for the games, but also museums, shows, etc! Our main reason to stay was to see two shows of The Celtic Tenors who were singing two nights at the delightful Strand Theater in Zelianople. Fantastic! Easy 10 minutes. Cranberry, 5-10 minutes has everything you want…great restaurants, too! The house itself was a bit difficult for us since we’re in our 80’s ( as was one of the couple who joined us one night,) and the stairs are shallow to go up to two bedrooms there and the Main bedroom has a short step down to the room and one to go up to the bathroom. The owner did provide an excellent nightlight that helped, but even at that, we had several episodes of “almost” falling. Probably this would be good to mention in the description…”not good for elderly or disabled.” All that aside, makings for s’mores and campfire wood for the outside firepit were supplied, but it was too cold. Also there’s plenty of condiments and coffee/tea. We loved having filtered water in the refrigerator! Very comfy beds and bedding! (The pizza place and frozen custard place 1/2 mile away are both excellent!!!)
