Hyggeligt familiepensionat i rolige omgivelser

Meget hyggeligt, rent, stille og lækkert lille pensionat, hvor ejeren og hans søn gør alt for at gæsterne skal føle sig godt tilpas. Ligger ideelt hvis man vil køre rundt til de smukke steder, der findes på Zakynthos. Det ligger desuden 2 minutters gang fra en fredelig lille strand.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in Dante's Maisonette. Sehr angenehme Familie und Gastfreundschaft. Wir Gartenring großes sehr sauberes Zimmer. Die Lage ist perfekt undue Insel mit dem Auto zu erkundigen.

Nice hotel in a calm bay excellent for swimming

The hotel is located in the middle of the calm Gerakari beach, a crystal-clear and shallow bay ideal for swimming (just after sunrise - but also most of the day - you may be the only lone swimmer to experience this "nirvana" in the sea, undisturbed and "in union" with the elements of the universe); there is no much space on that beach to lie in the sun, though; yet, it is about 30 minutes of driving to the dunes of the spacious Banana beach (on the south-east coastline of the island), or the natural beauty of the Kalamaki beach (on the south coast just nearby the Zakynthos airport) and Gerakas beach (on the utmost south-east point). Less than 30 minutes of driving to the north-west will take you to the beautiful rocky bays with deep dark-green-blue waters around Makris Gialos. This family-managed hotel has a very welcoming and helpful staff. Delicious local food and drinks are served in the well-designed yard around a swimming pool. The rooms are clean and tidy, equipped with a fridge, TV and basic appliances to cook (if you would wish to). But cooking is not what one would do on a holiday, especially in Greece. We were impressed by the culinary excellence at "The Yard of Taste" in Zakynthos, "El Sueno" in Makris Nisi (just a few minutes to the north of Makris Gialos), "Zepos" at Kalamaki beach and the local Amoudi taverna, which we would highly recommend. One should definitely hire a car in Zakynthos and explore the many hidden secrets of natural beauty and culinary art.

Griechische Gastfreundlichkeit vom Feinsten

Wir verbrachten eine wunderschöne Woche auf Zakynthos. Das Hotel liegt auf der Nord-östlichen Seite der Insel, zwischen den Stränden Psarou und Ammoudi. Die Hotelbesitzer waren unglaublich gastfreundlich. Wir haben uns sofort willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Als wir am ersten Tag ankamen, wurde uns zuerst ein Drink spendiert und wir durften gemütlich am Hotelpool mit dem Besitzer plaudern. Der Besitzer ist ein sehr offener und freundlicher Grieche, der vieles über sein spannendes Leben erzählen kann, wenn man mit ihm ins Gespräch kommt. Man versteht sich auf Englisch sehr gut. Er hat uns sehr viele Geheimtipps für unseren Aufenthalt gegeben (Bsp: wo man am günstigsten die Touristen-Touren buchen kann, welche Tavernen zu empfehlen sind und welche nicht, welche Ecken der Insel wunderschön sind, etc.). Wir hatten ein Studio gebucht, das für uns zwei gross genug war. Das Zimmer und Badezimmer waren sehr sauber, der Balkon riesig. Jeden Morgen haben wir auf unserem schönen Balkon gefrühstückt - mit Blick aufs Meer. Einfach wunderbar! Das Bett ist sehr bequem. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet: Elektroherd, Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, und alle Utensilien, die man braucht, wenn man selber kochen möchte. Wenn man will, dann kochen die Gastgeber auch typisch griechisches Essen für die Gäste auf dem Aussen-Grill mit Olivenholz. Wir hatten an einem Abend frisch gefangenen Fisch mit griechischem Salat und Tzatziki. Super lecker! Dieses Hotel ist ein echter Geheimtipp.

Perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday.

The owner and his family were very welcoming and did everything to ensure that we had a good holiday. They were very accommodating, even printing out our boarding passes for us. We will definitely return, especially as we would like to try the evening meal at Dante's. We saw other people eating there and it looked lovely. I would recommend taking a torch for helping you back home, if you are walking to a restaurant in the evening. We hired a car through the owner and paid €35 a day for a 10 day hire. This enabled us to dine further a field. I would recommend hiring a car, as long as you are confident about driving abroad. We travelled around the island and we think we chose the best spot for our holiday. The beach nearby is small but suited us as the water is so clear and shallow until you are quite a way out. Ideal for children or those who don't swim well. There is a pool which we didn't know about until after we booked. It was a nice surprise. There is enough shade at the pool so you can enjoy it anytime of the day. The area is clean, and there is more than enough sunbeds etc. The actual accommodation is clean, modern and well furnished. There was a tv in our apartment but only two English channels, and it was placed in the kitchen. This wasn't a problem for us though, as we had our laptops and used the WiFi to watch Netflix. I have to say the maids were excellent. They did the bins everyday and changed the towels and bedding regularly.

Nice quiet area

I had an amazing stay in Zante and the maisonette + staff were very pleasant :) The hotel was a perfect distance from the beach and surrounding restaurants. We did eat out most days but our hotel does offer a small variety of food and little necessities such as bottled water, small snacks, ...Etc. The locals were so welcoming and you're an easy cab ride 10-30mins from local attractions. It's a beautiful island, views are incredible! Just a wonderful experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is family ran and owner was so lovely :) he even gave us a tour of the town at night and took us to an area where you oversee the whole town. The pool features a jacuzzi and looks beautiful when lit up at night. There are supermarkets within walking distance and the area is so peaceful and safe we felt at ease walking around at night :) the sound of the sea is just incredible and therapeutic on those relaxing rest days :) thank you for a wonderful stay !

Gorgeos hotel in a very quiet location

This hotel was one of the best surprises that I ever had. It is managed by an owner so you get the warm welcome, feel like home, and if you need anything (sightseeing, eating, beaches) the family that runs the business will make it possible. From Dantes the main city (Zakynthos) is 15 minutes’ drive, one of the best beaches 5 minutes’ drive and everything else is close by. One advise not just from Dantes hotel but in the whole Island you need a GPS navigation.

fantastic hotel

Away from the tourist spots this hotel was an absolute oasis. From the moment we arrived we started to relax. The welcome from Tasso, Hara and Dante was so incredibly warm and sincere. The hotel is small and authentic with spacious rooms that were spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable with new mattresses etc. Linen was changed twice a week. The rooms have a fridge,crockery and my daughters room had a cooking ring which meant that we were able to make breakfast,although for a very reasonable price you could have an English, traditional Greek or continental breakfast out on the patio prepared by Tasso and Hara. The pool is a new addition and very pleasant and spotlessly clean. Whilst the hotel is fantastic the real outstanding feature is the owners who are such warm, generous people who will do anything and everything they can to ensure you enjoy your stay. Felt that we arrived as customers and left as friends! Would I stay again....yes...yes....YES!!

Semester med lugn o ro i genuin grekisk miljö

Ett underbart litet, personligt hotell som ägs av en mycket trevlig och hjälpsam familj. perfekt för familjer eller par som vill ha lugn och ro, nära till havet och få känna lite av det genuina Grekland! De har en jätte god olivolja som är från familjens gård. Finns både frukost, lunch el hemlagad middag om man önskar... Rekommenderar varmt ( tips hur bil o kör runt på Zakynthos)
