The Space:

This 3,200-square-foot home feels more like a small desert retreat than a traditional vacation house, with inviting places to gather, unwind and enjoy a little solitude. Sunlight fills the interiors, where warm wood, rattan, macramé and abundant greenery create a relaxed, lived-in atmosphere. Friends can linger around the kitchen island, curl up beside a fireplace or wander outside to explore the grounds. The thoughtful layout makes it easy to enjoy different activities throughout the day before coming back together for a meal or an evening by the fire.

The grounds are a destination in themselves, with five acres of Joshua trees, cacti, native vegetation and rugged rock formations to explore. Rather than one large patio, the property offers a collection of outdoor spaces, each with its own atmosphere.



The freeform swimming pool anchors the main entertaining area, surrounded by loungers, umbrellas and places to settle in between swims. Spend an afternoon reading beneath the shade, stretch out in a hammock or enjoy lunch outdoors with the desert stretching toward the horizon.



Follow the winding walkway through the native landscaping to discover the hot tub on its own raised deck. Set apart from the main pool area, with loungers alongside it, this is a particularly lovely place to watch the colors change over the surrounding hills or soak beneath the night sky.



When it's time to gather, the outdoor fire pit offers seating for evenings of conversation, while the poolside dining area provides another setting for meals outside.



The home's inner courtyard is especially inviting after dark. Beneath exposed beams, woven pendant lights and strings of warm lighting, a long wooden dining table creates a welcoming setting for group dinners. Additional lounge seating and a fire table offer room to linger afterward, while patio heating makes the courtyard comfortable during cooler winter evenings.



The surrounding acreage remains natural desert terrain and is not fully fenced.

Inside, the main living room is bright and welcoming, with sunrise views, a generous sectional and a pellet stove for cooler evenings. It's a comfortable place to ease into the morning, catch up with friends or settle in for a movie after a day outside.



The separate den offers a cozier atmosphere, centered around a wood-burning fireplace and layered with the home's signature bohemian details. Pick a book from the shelves, bring out a board game or put on some music through the Sonos system.



For a relaxed evening indoors, streaming entertainment includes HBO Max, Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime.



A large-capacity humidifier in the center of the house and individual bedroom diffusers add thoughtful comfort in the dry desert climate.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The spacious kitchen is designed for meals that bring everyone together. A large central island with bar seating offers plenty of room to prepare food, serve breakfast or keep the conversation going while someone cooks. Double ovens and generous counter space make group meals easy to organize.



Filtered, softened water runs throughout the home, with alkaline drinking water available directly from the kitchen tap.



For dining, gather around the indoor table with seating for eight, framed by natural light and warm rattan furnishings. On pleasant evenings, take dinner outside to the courtyard's long table or enjoy a more casual meal beside the pool. With several dining spaces to choose from, meals can be as relaxed or elaborate as the occasion calls for.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

High Desert Paradise has three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests. Each bedroom is arranged as its own suite, complete with a private bathroom and a separate entrance. This distinctive layout is especially appealing for couples or friends traveling together who appreciate independence and privacy within a shared getaway.



Casablanca Suite



Facing the sunset and swimming pool, the Casablanca Suite is the home's most indulgent bedroom. A king bed with a memory foam mattress and wood headboard anchors the room, complemented by a hanging chair and flat-screen Apple TV.



The spacious ensuite bathroom features an oversized walk-in shower and a deep soaking tub with jets, ideal for an unhurried evening after exploring the desert. Separate entrances lead directly toward the pool and hot tub or into the inner courtyard, making it easy to move between your suite and the outdoor spaces.



Sunrise Suite



For early risers, the Sunrise Suite offers mountain views and some of the property's loveliest morning light. A queen bed with a feather-top mattress provides a comfortable place to rest, while an egg chair creates a cozy spot to enjoy coffee as the sun comes up.



The ensuite bathroom includes a walk-in shower. Outside, a private patio with lounge chairs invites quiet mornings, and a separate entrance provides convenient access toward the hot tub.



Bungalow Suite



The Bungalow Suite offers a peaceful retreat off the inner courtyard, with sunset and pool-facing views. Furnished with a queen memory foam bed, rattan chair and small desk, it has an understated, comfortable atmosphere suited to guests who enjoy a quieter place to recharge.



Its private bathroom includes a shower and bathtub combination, and the courtyard entrance makes it easy to join the group whenever you wish.



Additional Sleeping Arrangements



For added flexibility, the den includes a queen sofa sleeper, while the living room offers a single sofa sleeper and a deep sectional. These additional sleeping areas do not have dedicated private bathrooms, but a convenient half bathroom serves the shared spaces.



Two queen air mattresses are also available upon request and can be accommodated in the Casablanca Suite, Sunrise Suite or den.



-Meditation Dome & Yoga Studio-

Wellness is a natural part of the experience at High Desert Paradise, with two dedicated spaces for guests who want to make time for movement, reflection or simply being still.



A winding path leads through the desert landscape to the geodesic meditation dome, an airy structure with geometric wooden framing, soft textiles, rugs and floor cushions. Surrounded by native plants and views of the rocky hills, it's a distinctive setting for morning meditation, gentle stretching or a quiet afternoon away from the main house.



Inside, the dedicated yoga studio provides another place to reconnect with your routine. Roll out a mat for a private practice, join a virtual class or use the Peloton bike for a more energetic workout. With its own fireplace and calming atmosphere, the studio makes it easy to incorporate a little restorative time into your stay, whether you're beginning the day with movement or winding down after an afternoon in the sun.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.

The roads up the mountain are dirt, rocky and ever-changing. Trucks and SUVs do well here; please be cautious in a sports car or any vehicle that sits low to the ground.
