"The car park was a secure gated area for hotel patrons only which I found to be a massive plus for York. As car parks in York, in my opinion, all seem to be hidden away and often some distance away from most of the accommodations as well as being quite expensive for overnight stays. The receptionists were cheerful, friendly and helpful, which after a two and a half hour drive was a very welcome sight. "The hotel was excellent. Beautiful building with historic features throughout. We loved the 'lodge-style' room in the courtyard, brilliantly quiet and well decorated. Clean and modern with great facilities including: iron and ironing board, tea/coffee tray and in-room safe. The TV was a large wide-screen. Would have wanted a second bedside table as one was missing but that's being picky! Would definitely stay again as the location a short walk from the station and Mickelgate was ideal!"

"The Burton Stone Inn was super clean and a very cute property! The outside terraces were well set up and our room was great. The staff was very friendly and attentive when any issues came up!
