Wolds Cottage is 2 Bedroom cottage built in the mid 1800's, tastefully modernised to a very high standard. Kitchen, Dining Room, Utility/Drying room, Lounge and 2 double bedrooms with en suite shower rooms.

The 5th person would be sleeping on a comfortable flop out bed which can be placed in any room.

Private back garden with sunny patio area and BBQ. Ideal for walking and cycling holidays, drying room and safe cycle storage are available.

Situated centrally, a quiet location in the beautiful thriving market town of Pocklington. Two minutes walk to supermarket, restaurants, bars, local shops and the arts centre. Burnby Hall & Gardens is just a 10 minute walk.

Easy access to Wolds walks and cycle ways. A busy bus route to York, Beverley,
Hull and the East Coast is 5 minutes walk away.

Excellent location and easy access to surrounding areas by car to Hornsea, Hull and York. An excellent bus route was also observed.Amenities are in a walks reach and Burnby Hall gardens is worth a visit to see the fish with Sainsburys opposite and Market Street cafe does an excellent breakfast.The cottage enabled all of us to have space to eat, drink and sleep with ease.Unfortunately, emails were not answered and caused some issues with the sleeping arrangements (no futon in front bedroom so sleep was disturbed) and anxiety about how we gained access to the cottage.The front room wardrobe could not be used as it was full of bedding and other paraphernalia. On first inspection the cottage was beautifully presented and clean but requires a little TLC. (showers screens, bases, filters and heads needed a thorough cleaning. Socket at the side of the bed was loose, previous guests clothing in the wardrobe and a bed finial was not attached .)

Nice home for a break

Lovely home for a week away. Good location for outward travel. Lots of places to eat & pubs to choose from, plus boutique shops too, all less than a 5 minute walk from the house. A very relaxing stay. Thank you

Beware! Host took my payment, then never provided lodging or check in information despite over five

This host completely ruined our family holiday. We paid for our stay a few months in advance and then communicated clearly with the host about our check in on the day of arrival. The host then was completely missing in action and never responded to any of our requests. We were unable to check into the property and had to pay for a hotel after wasting six hours talking with VRBO. At least VRBO paid for one night of hotel, but their customer service system is absolutely horrible. The total cost to us out-of-pocket, however, was more than the total price we agreed to with VRBO and the host. I am very displeased with how the host and VRBO handled the situation. I am a traveler with five-star reviews across the board over many years. I truly hope that no one else ends up in the same situation that we did due to the gross negligence of the host.

Lovely Cottage

We had a lovely stay in this cottage which had a great location walking distance to the shops in Pocklington. Only 25 minutes from York and an hour to the coast. It had everything we needed.

Enjoyed another great stay..

Second stay a this property. Everything clean, tidy. Comfy beds, lovely shower ensuites in bedrooms. Really like staying in this lovely area which is a great base for lots of days out. Would recommend d to anyone.

Great base

Great base for catching up with friends and family. Nice clean and comfortable cottage, with everything we needed for our stay. Pocklington is a nice village and Burnby Hall Gardens is a good place to spend a sunny afternoon.

Lovely stay!

A really lovely mini break had by all. Cottage was spotless, lovely decor. Comfy beds with a bathroom each. Good use of pots, pans and utensils in kitchen. Good Central location. Would recommend to family and friends. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Lovely Cottage

Really loved the property, very spacious and had every you need for self catering holidays. Location was brilliant could walk into the centre of Pocklington in a few minutes. Had a most enjoyable break and would definitely stay at this property again.

Lovely Cottage

Really enjoyed our stay. 2 large ensuite bedrooms with an additional wc on the ground floor. Nice comfortable lounge with sky tv. Large dining room with kitchen and utility room. Furnishings good quality. Parking is on the street outside the cottage.

We've been before and this is a lovely property in a lovely town

Easy to book. Easy to get to from Sheffield. Lovely clean property with all the facilities you need. Super owner, a lovely town and part of the country. Well worth a visit and stay.

Lovely property in a lovely town

The property is very nice, the pictures don't do it justice. All the facilities you need and very comfortable. Pocklington is a lovely town with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with plenty of nice walks.

Pocklington stay

Very Central for our weekend requirements and a lovely location. Used all the amenities available, found the local pub (Toddies) very welcoming and enjoyed all the locals information of the area and conversations.

Weekend at Wolds Cottage, Pocklington

The cottage was well presented, clean and fresh looking. Very comfortable with everything necessary for cooking and entertaining. Quiet location, although not far from the centre with plenty of restaurants, take-aways and supermarkets. Many interesting places to visit nearby and only about an hours journey to the coast. Certainly a place to stay and enjoy North Yorks.
