Short break in York

Great location. Very comfortable accommodation. Having permit parking outside the property is a great benefit. WiFi and tv easy to use. We would recommend this property.

Northern Flowerhouse without flowers

Small townhouse on quite a busy street, minimalist set up which could do with some brush up. Having said that, we did enjoy our stay on the whole, and the weekly service was good.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Northern Flowerhouse and would stay again. The host company had good and timely correspondence and even let us enter a few hours early when arrived ahead of schedule. Entry was easy and the house was spacious for the two of us. Parking on the street was very easy and always available right in front of the home. The house was quiet at night and comfortable with a stocked kitchen and washer/dryer. The neighbor was pleasant and even gave us a gift upon our departure!

Great stay

Good sized house, larger than expected. Comfy beds and well thought out furnishings. Left the car on the street and walked in to york every day. Great to be near the river and Rowntree Park for my morning walks.

Cosy house in great location

We found the house cosy and comfortable for our three night stay in York. Everything we needed for a family of four. Nice furnishings and lovely view from the front bedroom. A few things could be fixed like the taps in the bathroom sink that need tightening and the side table drawers in the front bedroom that do not stay closed. The stairs took some getting used to but would consider staying here again in future.

Wonderful to have a superking bed!

Excellent house, well equipped and spacious. Lovely bedrooms with very comfy beds. So happy to find a house with a superking bed. Great communication. Brilliant parking right at the front of the house. Just a shame there isn’t a downstairs WC.

Lovely house

Great comfortable and clean house in an excellent location. Comfy beds with good quality linen. Easy to walk into the city, situated in a nice, quiet neighborhood opposite the cemetery. (The road at the front is relatively busy and some road noise is to be expected - this would not stop us booking again though). Nice little back yard for sitting out and perfect for our dog. We love York and this is a good value home from home to stay in. We had a lovely week and would definitely book this property again. **Try the Shi Shang Chinese restaurant a few minutes walk away , and also The Phoenix pub

Nice clean mid terrace in York. Parking was easy, walkable to most places 15-25 mins. Minor issue with property when arrived, but very quickly resolved by Stays York.

Beautiful York, comfortable house, good location.

This house has lovely comfortable sofas and beds. The kitchen has fairly good equipment but no dishwasher. Good hardwood floors downstairs and (dated) carpet on stairs and in master bedroom. Good water pressure and nice size bathroom with over bath shower. Little garden with room to sit out.

Flower House

Quaint place The dryer did not work. No dishwasher even though there were dishwashers tab. The bath tub was very high. This property would not work for older people.

Great property with parking, close to the city centre

This is a great guesthouse in a quiet neighbourhood, within easy walking distance from the city centre. It’s a perfect size for couples or a family, and has the advantage of a separate living room downstairs and an upstairs bathroom. It’s an old Victorian property, which has been well maintained and decorated. There’s a fully fitted kitchen, smart TV and WiFi, and this property has the advantage of free on street parking - which is hard to find this close to the city centre. It’s a 15 minute walk to the city centre, and 5 minutes down to the river. Theres a lovely coffee shop round the corner and a children’s playground nearby. The area is generally quiet (its opposite a cemetery, but it is on a road, so there is some traffic noise at the front of the house, but this is only noticeable when the windows are open. The stairs are steep and narrow, and at the top the height of the stairs is uneven, so this property isn’t suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Overall a great property for a very good price.

Accessibility issues that need flagging when the property is advertised

The property is beautifully decorated with every nearly detail considered. The beds are particularly great and the car parking is easy. However, Northern Flowerhouse is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues and this really needs to be flagged up in the description on the website. The stairs are more vertiginous and the treads narrower than your typical terrace and the shower is over a very high bath with no rail to hold. For anyone with a bad back or balance issues it will be too difficult to manage. One of us, for instance, fell the first time trying to use the shower and navigating the stairs was a slow business every time. I think the place would be pretty great for younger people without children but a health warning would target your market better.

Lovely Apartment, Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's an easy walk to Clifford's Tower, York Minster, and the Shambles. We also enjoyed walking through the cemetery, which is just across the street. It was very clean and parking was available in front of the apartment, with the provided pass. We would definitely stay here again.

Second time staying at the property and again a wonderful stay. The property is well equipped and tastefully decorated and has everything required for a short stay. Beautiful location, close to the river and a short walk into York centre.
