"Check in was a very pleasant experience. We took advantage of the luggage check and on return to the hotel for check in our bags had been delivered to our room. We were even showed to our room, a nice touch. Room was very clean and the bed comfortable. A million dollar view from our room across a quiet street. Would definitely stay again."

"Excellent location. We managed to get a free parking space just down the road. Just a short walk into the city. We had a big room at the front overlooking the street and garden with a huge bay window. Very clean. Breakfast was wonderful. They cater for everyone including vegans, which was a bonus and the table service was very quick. Food was hot and delicious. Staff were all very polite. The only negative was the extremely firm mattress, which I struggled with., but it wouldn't stop us staying...

"This place are definitely charming and very clean, and the staff is super friendly and patient. If you arrive before check in, you can leave your luggage and take a walk around the centre. The room had a water heater and you can make yourself tea or coffee (which I love because not all hotels offer it). The breakfast is amazing as they offer a Yorkshire experience, and it's nice because it’s different from the typical hotel breakfasts. There is a bar that offers drinks during the evening and...

"Had two nights in a family room whilst visiting York, which can be easily accessed by car in minutes. The ground-floor room was clean, spacious and very well appointed, with a large TV and a small but perfectly formed bathroom boasting an array of hand-wash, shower gel, shampoo and separate conditioner! Breakfast was excellent, though options for evening dining were limited. That said, we enjoyed a couple of lovely meals at the nearby Cross Keys pub, where it was possible to reserve a table....
