Situated on a ridge top of the tallest mountain in the county this totally secluded and newly constructed cottage provides the perfect retreat from a fast paced lifestyle. Abundant wildlife and hiking with incredible views. We call this forest getaway "Rainshadow".

I need a sixth star to do this place justice. Absolutely gorgeous. A bit of an adventure to get to, but the directions are detailed and the signage is clear. Quiet, clean, complete with all the little thoughtful details I could have wished for and more. Highly recommended!

Beautiful cabin in the woods. Extremely clean and well appointed. Very nice outdoor area. I would recommend getting here before dark so you can see everything the property has to offer outdoors. Would definitely stay here again.

Marc & Lindy have a beautiful property. It’s very secluded and private. Pristine, beautifully decorated, great taste through and through. Fire pit, gas grill, swing in between the trees, etc. Marc & Lindy were exceptional hosts. This cabin is unique beyond words.

The pictures don’t do justice for how beautiful this place was the views was amazing. I really enjoyed my stay there. There is nothing like having your morning coffee on the porch while watching deer graze not even bothered by you. We met the owners and they were very nice and welcoming. 10/10 recommend! The only regret I have is not booking more days here.

Beautiful mountain retreat. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to rejuvenate your soul, this immaculately clean cabin is just the ticket!The floor plan is thoughtfully designed to make use of the tidy space. It’s very well built ….The stairs don’t even creak! The decorative elements and live houseplants show just how much this place is lovingly cared for. With three outdoor seating areas and numerous windows that open, you have access to nature from every room. You also have a hammock, a pic-nic table/grille and a fire pit. I adored the screened door and the large windows over the kitchen sink. (The view made washing dishes feel meditative, rather than a chore!)The kitchen has everything you need to prepare full meals. I especially appreciated the little touches like coffee supplies, fresh fruit, brochures about local attractions and a great collection of books.This is a comfy “home away from home” that begs you to just relax and unwind. Listen to the birds, watch deer as you drink your morning tea, roast some marshmallows as the stars came out…. Just breath! We would love to come back for several days to hike in the area and would definitely hope to stay here again.

A wondeful cabin in the woods with everything we needed for a quiet weekend getaway. We spent mornings and evenings on the front porch enjoying the sounds of the woods and enjoying nature.The road to the cabin was rough but easily navigated in iur SUV.

Pictures do not do this property justice. Everything was beautiful. The house was extremely clean and updated, and the views are breathtaking. Marc and Lindy were great hosts with a brief meeting explaining how the heat/AC worked and letting us know where they are if we needed anything. Everything was thoughtfully laid out and well stocked with various seating areas both indoor and out to enjoy the tranquility. We will definitely be back.

Don't be daunted by the drive! It is well worth the effort, and easier than it looks. This is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Mark and Lindy are wonderful hosts and there is nothing that I would change about this place! We hope to go back often.

The property is just as advertised. It is a beautiful and secluded location. Marc and Lindy take great pride in this property and making their guests happy. The cabin is very clean and well kept. I would recommend this location to anyone and plan on returning sometime.

Amazingly clean, cozy, and quiet. The view and area are quiet, peaceful. The owners are wonderful people who made sure we understood everything needed for the stay and even left some snacks and tea for us. We stayed for one night but already want to stay again
