"The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming! It was lovely to drink coffee in the mornings on the balcony table with a small view toward the bay. Avalon as a whole is extraordinarily walkable which made it easy to just quickly come back to the hotel for anything."

"The service at this hotel is what makes it 5 stars. All the staff are pleasant and were amazingly helpful when our originally scheduled ferry was canceled. Our room didn’t have a view, had an awkward amount of furniture (highly recommend removing the extra chair so there’s a place for luggage - we stored it above the fridge to make space), and was a little dated. But it served its purpose and the AC worked great so no complaints :-). SUPER convenient to get to anywhere in Avalon by walking. "

"If you like older historic accommodations that are rich in history, then you would enjoy this place. Big, tasty cookies waiting at check in and bottled water next to comfy beds, coffee and muffins were waiting in the dinning area for early birds before breakfast was served. Transportation available to get down the hill to a restaurant and beachside bar made things very convenient. I plan on staying again and sharing this experience with my friends and family."
