"Hotel was nice and clean. We were given the room at level one with a bathtub and everything was pleasant. The only qualm will be the absence of a movable shower head as showering kids became quite a hassle. We paid £18 each for breakfast and it was a nice spread of hash brown, bacon, eggs, fruits and beverages. The weather was pleasant in Oxford and we had a great stay."

"What a wonderful place to eat and stay! 5 star service from the staff, 5 star food quality and the rooms were immaculate. Breakfast was beautiful every morning with so much choice. This was a break after finishing cancer treatment for me, I wanted a relaxing break and one of the party was gluten free. We were treated like family, one of the party even stayed an extra night! We had a wonderful stay and we will be returning as soon as we can. Thank you, we loved our stay with you. "

"Very central good car parking. Rooms a little dated but clean. Food very good. Had dinner and breakfast. Really nice although could do with some fresh fruit at breakfast. Nice staff good atmosphere in bar."

"Friendly staff but room a little cramped and did not expect wash basin in bedroom with toilet behind a rickety sliding door. Breakfast was very poor with little choice, not restocked, teas and coffees in a flask that was cold, also run out of fruit juice. "

"Everything was great from arrival to departure Theresa the housekeeper went the extra mile to get me a couple more f extra Nespresso pods which was greatly appreciated Dinner was great All staff were very helpful and pleasant Highly recommended"

"Wonderful, laid back, clean, on-the-water pub with very charming rooms & great breakfast that was included in the room rate. Great dining menu, outdoor terrace always busy. Overall a very friendly & accommodating staff. Walkable to City Centre, Christ Church, Ashmolean, Botanical Gardens, groceries, train station, you name it! Loved it! Special thanks to Emms & the gentleman managing the guests on the outdoor terrace. "

"Aside from check-in being a bit of a sham and WiFi not being quite as good as advertised, nothing really to fault about Heythrop. Beautiful building in an idyllic location. Beautifully maintained, inside and out. We had a ‘basic’ room I guess, but even this was fabulous. Super comfy beds, great shower, lovely view. Super relaxing. Was hesitant about the entertainment initially but far exceeded expectations. Excellent vocalists, slick performances, and the most incredible Magician on our second...

"Fantastic boutique hotel with a quirky "Fawlty Towers" vibe. "

"Two night midweek stay for work. Location is excellent as right in the centre of Wantage, with access to local shops and restaurants. No hotel car parking, but overnight parking available in local council car park (£3/night). Room was cosy and had all facilities needed for a comfortable stay. Relatively quiet during the night, but Wantage wakes around 5am, so expect to as well. Ate in the restaurant for the first night - good quality food, but ventured out the second night for greater menu...
