This is a lovely place to stay. The site itself is beautiful. The breakfasts were very tasty and filling. The owners are so knowledgeable about the area and its history. They helped us use our time there more effectively. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at The Aldrich House. We would return if we ever end up back in Williamsburg.

This was a relaxing stay in the Lewis Ensuite. The entire B&B was spotless, full of interesting treasures, and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, and Tom was an interesting, informed, and attentive host. We would definitely stay here again!

Sue and Tom did an amazing job. We really enjoyed our stay there. Very good homestyle breakfast each morning, which kickstarted our day each day. Made us feel like we were at home away from home. We look forward to coming back again. The location was also very nice, being a close walk to Colonial Williamsburg.

The owners made you feel at home. The homemade breakfast was great. They went so far as making gluten free pancakes and waffles for the two in our party that have celiacs. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Was a very nice visit!

Lovely room, but some minor issues

The room itself was lovely and very comfortable. The faucet for the bathroom sink was very difficult to turn on. The second day of my stay, the trash was emptied but the bed was not remade. Breakfast was not flexible, but at a single time - 8:30 am, which did not work at all for me on 2 days of my stay.

Charming Stay with Exceptional Hosts

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. The home is beautifully decorated, conveniently within walking distance of Colonial Williamsburg and just a short drive to Historic Jamestowne. Breakfast was generous and delicious—Sue is a wonderful cook. Tom, with his deep knowledge of Colonial and Civil War history, offered excellent recommendations on places to visit and dine. Our mornings were made even better by engaging and informative conversations over breakfast.

Very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg, an easy walk. Host was very knowledgeable about history and was happy to share. The full breakfast prepared by Tom was fantastic every morning. We were not comfortable using the refrigerator in the home's kitchen to store our drinks and things so we did without any refrigeration. We booked the smaller room so there was only one chair but the bed was comfortable and there was ample room for storage.

The hosts at Aldrich House are great and provide a wonderful breakfast served family style in the beautiful home. Overall a very clean and lovely setting to relax for the few days we were in town to visit Williamsburg. Very easily walkable distance (about 10 minute walk with sidewalks all the way) to downtime Colonial Williamsburg. Free to visit town, but you will need tickets for events and attractions. Stayed here over July 4th and crowds not an issue at all.

From the moment we walked in, we were wrapped in warmth—not just from the inviting décor, but from the sweet couple who run this delightful inn. They treated us like family and whipped up a breakfast so good it could start a peace treaty. We’re talking fluffy biscuits, rich coffee, and eggs that tasted like they were laid by hens with culinary degrees. Every corner of the house tells a story, and every conversation with our hosts made us feel more at home. It’s the kind of place where time slows down just enough for you to savor the moment—and maybe one more slice of homemade pie. If Southern hospitality had a headquarters, it would be here. We’ll definitely be back—and bringing our appetites with us!

The couple who own the Aldrich House are delightful hosts. Their cooking is phenomenal and they were very accommodating. They gave us great recommendations for where to go out to eat and what to see in our short time in Williamsburg. Their house is very walkable to Colonial Williamsburg.

Loved this. Was looking for something nice and convenient to Williamsburg. Mainly booked Aldrich house for the location (and good reviews)... ended up loving the b & b, breakfast was delicious and unique every day. Hosts were knowledgeable and friendly. Eight minute walk (at most) to historic Williamsburg. Lovely, quiet place. Will recommend this highly to anyone visiting the area.

A Great Time at The Aldrich House

Tom and Susan are a wonderful couple and fantastic hosts. The Aldrich House is beautiful and warm. They are extremely attentive to details, engaging and very knowledgeable of the towns history including personal life events of many of our nation's founding fathers. In addition, Tom makes delicious breakfasts!. We wish them the best and look forward to staying with them in the future.
