Vermont Lake Front Log Cabin Close to Mt. Snow

I personally built this stunning handcrafted log home back in 1998. It features over 500' of frontage on beautiful, peaceful Sadawga Lake, in the Town of Whitingham, set on eight acres at the end of a half mile long, private dirt road. Two sided covered porch, gas grille, table with chairs and air swing to relax and enjoy the lake views. There are four kayaks there for your use. Great fishing, hiking, kayaking, and the peace and quiet we all deserve.

Inside the cabin, there is a floor to ceiling field-stone fireplace in the spacious and ultra comfortable living room, gorgeous cherry and maple wood floors handcrafted from the trees off my property, full kitchen and bath, and bedroom with one queen bed first floor. Master bedroom loft featuring hot tub, King Size Log Bed, and half bath.

Wifi throughout the home.
Inside you will find two sets of triple french doors in the living room that give you beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

Privacy abounds at the end of the dirt road, home is surrounded by woods and water.

For your winter sports, we are less than 30 minutes to excellent skiing at Mt Snow, and we have direct access to the VAST snowmobile trail system, right off the property.

Weekend in Whitingham

Our stay was wonderful at this home. The house was comfortable and very well appointed, especially for people who like to stay in and make meals instead of going out. The kayaks available for use were a great touch, and we enjoyed going out on the lake. The owner was very responsive and even made recommendations on restaurants and area amenities. 10/10 would recommend.

Better than expected!

Although we cut our stay short (due to weather), the time we spent at the cabin was better than expected. The pictures did not do this place justice! The cabin is beautiful and just what we needed to get away for the weekend. We’ll definitely book again for a longer stay next time—preferably when the weather is warmer! Communication with our host Bob was very easy, comfortable and helpful!

Tranquil Cabin Heaven!

I can’t say enough about our host, Bob, and this property. If you’re looking for a peaceful slice of heaven, this immaculate log cabin is the place. This is the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in and the attention to detail was incredible. The kitchen was super stocked and the furniture was comfortable, we immediately felt at home. The Firepit by the water was so relaxing and the fireplace inside was great to end the day. Thanks to Bob for the wood. Bob was extremely responsive and friendly, a really great host. Small towns were nearby and the drives were pretty. Bob also had two really clean grills with all the tools and a great porch swing for two. All we heard were geese and ducks for 5 days. Bob, thank you and your family for sharing your slice of heaven with others! You offer a really special experience that is tough to find.

Perfect Getaway for Two!

We recently stayed at this charming cabin for a weekend getaway to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and it was perfect! The location on Sadawga Lake in Whitingham, Vermont is precisely what we were looking for—peaceful and quiet, with stunning lake views. We spent countless hours relaxing in the screened-in gazebo, enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful scenery without worrying about bugs. The lake is great to explore by kayak, provided by the host, with minimal traffic, a manageable size, and a floating island. Anniversary Retreat

From the moment we arrived we felt the magic. So peaceful we didn’t make it past the rocker on the porch and just sat and soaked in the sun and the breeze and the beautiful lake. Bob the builder picked the perfect spot. We then headed out on the kayaks for a delightful spin around the lake back in time to barbecue and eat appetizers and watch the sunset. Cozy by the fire for dinner and then movie night in the loft….next day sunrise paddle then breakfast on the porch and hiking and exploring the nature preserve and catamounts trails from Harriman to some rest. Some dricing arounf and back fro another enchanted evening. This morning s paddle in among the floating islands rewarded us with cranberries and then over th the preserve where we saw an eagle fishing….truly magical. Cant wait to come back!!!
