Welcome to The Grand Alpine Lodge at Big Mountain in Whitefish Montana!



This amazing and luxurious log home has been recently remodeled and upgraded with all new furnishings and decor. The Grand Alpine Lodge is the perfect combination of elegant mountain craftsmanship and Montana rustic charm! This ski access (see important information regarding ski access below) home has amazing views! You will be at one of the best locations on the mountain and is in the heart of one of Montana’s finest ski resorts. The resort is well known for a pleasant variety of runs, short waits in line, and for its consistently good snow conditions . . . on average 300 inches a year! Praised in National Ski magazine as the #3 place to ski in the country!



When the snow melts, Whitefish Mountain Resort becomes home to thrilling zip lines and an alpine slide, world-class downhill, and cross-country mountain biking, and the unique Walk in the Treetops. In addition, you have easy access to spectacular hiking, golfing, water sports, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and Glacier National Park! The west entrance of Glacier National Park is about an hour away! Home to glacier-carved peaks and valleys running to the Canadian border, more than 700 miles of hiking trails, and crossed by the mountainous Going-to-the-Sun Road, Glacier National Park is a true bucket list item. At 6,400 sq ft this property provides everything a large family or multiple families would need for the perfect Whitefish vacay! You'll love the stunning vaulted ceilings, large windows for ample light, and spectacular views! The floor plan is open and inviting. The living room features a large fireplace and a flatscreen HD Smart TV, with comfortable seating! The kitchen is fully equipped with all the items you would need along with tile counters, and plenty of space to prep! The large dining room table can seat 12, and you have 6 more spaces at the bar, perfect for gathering everyone together for a feast! The main level is where you will find the Master Bedroom! The master has a King-size bed, Flatscreen TV, and a full en-suite bath with a large jetted bathtub and tile stand-up shower. On this level, there is also a bunk room for the kids with 2 Twin over Queen bunk beds! Off of this bedroom is the added apartment to the home. This apartment has a full kitchen as well giving you even more space for cooking if needed. The apartment has a spacious living room with a flat-screen TV. There is one bedroom in this apartment with a King size bed and an en-suite bath with a walk-in shower. The bathroom has two doors enabling others to access it as well. The upstairs of the apartment has an open kids' room with two Queen-size beds. There is a bathroom on this level with a tub only (no shower).



On the upper level in the main house, there are 2 more bedrooms! Bedroom #4 has a King-size bed and en-suite bathroom! Bedroom #5 has a King-size bed as well. There is also an open seating area which is great for remote learning, working or playing some games.



On the lower level in the main house is another living room with a fireplace and large flatscreen TV. You will also find a pool table for great family fun. This level also has another bedroom that is perfect for the kids with a Queen over Queen bunk bed. You can take in all the fresh mountain air sitting in your private hot tub! There is a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience. The property has parking for 2 vehicles in the garage as well as 4 additional cars in the driveway. This property does NOT have Air Conditioning, there are portable AC units in 3 upper level bedrooms but during the summer months please be advised it can get warm in the house during the day.



Ski Access: This property offers convenient ski access through the neighborhood trail system, but it is important to note that it is not a true ski-in/ski-out property. During periods of adequate snow, you can access the neighborhood trail system from the property and ski via the Home Again trail to Base Lodge, where you can connect to the rest of Whitefish Mountain Resort. For your return, the Elk Highlands Lift provides access back to the neighborhood trail system when the lift is operating and snow conditions permit. Please be aware that snow conditions can vary throughout the season. There may be times when the neighborhood trails are not sufficiently covered, requiring you to walk a short distance to reach the ski access. Likewise, the Elk Highlands Lift may not operate when snow conditions are insufficient. For guests prioritizing ski access, this location provides a great option, but we want to be transparent that skiing directly from the property to the mountain and returning directly to the property is not guaranteed throughout the season.
