Premiere Family-Friendly Lakeside Cabin, Beautiful Views, Free Dock & Boat Slip

Cabin 5 is a premier two-bedroom lakeside cabin with a large deck overlooking Lake Almanor and Big Cove on the peninsula of the north shore. Located in Almanor Lakeside Resort, just off Peninsula Drive, it is only a few steps from the water. This is a cabin that will surpass your expectations with its great quality, design, and stunning views. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and the master bedroom has a king-sized bed. The living room is to die for with an air conditioner and French doors that open to an over-sized deck that you will enjoy from Spring to Fall. The kitchen has every appliance you might need including a dish-washer for those that really want to ‘rough it’ as well as all the utensils you need. The living room has a great propane fireplace to take the edge off cool evenings and the couch has a twin fold-out for extra kids or guests. Watch your favorite movie on a flat screen Smart TV to end your day of lake recreation. There is an air conditioner in the living room for those warm summer nights. If you don’t want to cook inside, you can make the deck your new outside kitchen complete with a propane grill, table and chairs, and even a swing for two to watch the sun go down. Bedding & towels are provided.
The resort includes a large lawn area with picnic tables. Rental includes a free boat launch and one free boat slip for every day of your stay. Docks are usually in the water by April 15th through October 31st. Just across the street is the Red Onion Restaurant and Sports Bar and adjacent to it is the Peninsula Market with an award-winning deli, coffee shop, wine room, and wonderful grocery store with fresh meats they cut themselves. In other words, everything you might need during your stay. Small to medium/large sized dogs allowed.
We collect a 9% Transient Occupancy Tax plus a 2% Feather River Tourism Marketing District (FRTMD) Fee payable to Plumas County Tax Collector.

Such a great oroperty

We’ve stayed here many times. It never disappoints. The location and accommodations are great. You can’t find a more centrally located place on the Lake. And the owners are fantastic. Thank you Karen and Clint for another wonderful getaway! Can’t wait to come back.

We love this place

We stay here every year. Our friends stay with us for 3 days. And they allow dogs, although we didn’t have one this year. We have great communication with the managers. Overall, I give it a top rating!

Our happy place

This location is like our second home, always welcoming and inviting. Everything we need is here including a view of the lake and easy access to the dock and swimming. The location is ideal. Clint and Karen are wonderful hosts! Anyone new to the lake should spend some time exploring the fun shops and restaurants in Chester and rent a boat to experience the lake and dock at Plumas Pines for lunch on the patio. Lassen is also a great day trip! We have already booked for the next two summers!

Amazing little cabin on the lake!

We have stayed at many cabins on the lake but I think this had to have been our favorite. The dock is literal steps from the cabin - we could see our boat in the slip from the deck, which is always nice. The table and chairs on the patio is perfect for relaxing. The cabin had everything we could ever need: bedding, towels, pots, pans, utensils, plates, cookie sheets, strainer, you name it. There is a little market across the street with almost anything you might want, as well as a restaurant and coffee shop, so the location was ideal. The boat ramp is pretty steep, so if you bring a boat, hopefully, your tow vehicle has 4x4. We had no issues finding a spot to leave our boat trailer during our stay. We will be back next summer for sure!

Great time had by all!

It was a very nice cabin with a great view of the lake! We went fishing and swimming right from the dock! We also hired Mike Papas , a fishing guide, and went out in his boat and caught beautiful rainbow trout. Clint and Karen were marvelous hosts and we are looking forward to renting there again!

Happy place

We love this place and always ready to return the next year! Boat dock and slip an added bonus with the lake view. Two bed and 2 bath great. Also with dishwasher and AC - necessity items greatly appreciated.

Beautiful Spot

We had a great stay Our host was courteous and was able to answer all questions in a timely manner. The cabin was clean and directions left by host were clear. It was nice having a private boat launch and boat slip. Other guest on the property were very friendly. We have booked for next year!!!

Almanor Gem

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was spacious for 3 people, clean and comfortable. The location was great for our exploration of Lassen Volcanic NP and convenient for a terrific dinner at the Red Onion. Plus the view of the moon over the lake was icing on the cake.

Cool Cabin

The property on Lake Almanor was perfect. We were able to easily drive to and explore Lassen Volcanic National Park and then have a relaxing and spacious place to stay after a full day of hiking. It was great having 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms yet a nice common area to share. The deck with the lake view is amazing!

Great Little Cabin

Stayed here with my young kids and their grandparents. Loved having easy access to the lake for swimming and fishing. Rented a boat from a company in the same cove and picked up the family at the dock. Very unique experience.

Home away from home

We love this cozy cabin that meets all our needs. Beautiful lake view with great swimming (floating) area. The deck is a nice size for barbecuing and dining. The location is ideal! Wonderful golf courses, restaurants and we love the town of Chester. Clint and Karen are fantastic hosts.

Lake Almanor lakefront haven

We love this cabin for our stay. Great Lake views, combined with comfortable and modern convenience. Our only complaint, and only this time, is a non compliant living room ceiling fan. Only seems to know low, and no other speeds. Hopefully, by next year it will be fixed. We’ll be back!

Cabin 5

This property is definitely one of the prime locations on the lake and very well maintained. Cabins have so many amenities and the canins are fully furnished with just about everything you need for your stay, long or short. The deck is spacious and we love spend time bbqing or having morning coffee enjoying the view. We have been to Lakeside Resort 3 years in a row and definitely plan on going back.
