  • Looking for a unique, quiet & peaceful getaway in the country? Our cozy loft is located upstairs inside our 5500 square foot vintage home decor store on our 80 acre animal rescue/sanctuary in Westville, Indiana. We are just 5 miles from Lake Michigan and less than an hour from Chicago. The loft sleeps two and includes a king size bed, sofa, tv, WiFi, bathroom and small fridge. The main floor has a kitchen with a stove, microwave & fridge. The only entrance to the space is through the store but the space is very secluded and private. You will also have access to our farm and pond we just ask that you do not feed or pet the animals without our supervision. We have horses, goats, 2 ungrateful geese, a pot belly pig named Thelma, a few cats and a dog. We also have an airstream on the property that is used as a rental and we rent our space for events (small weddings, showers, etc). Jen is a great hostess. It was great getting to meet all the animals! The space is cool and we enjoyed getting away while not being to far from things to do. Highly recommend!

First off, let me just say—our host Jennifer was absolutely incredible! Super welcoming, super helpful, and full of awesome local tips. She pointed us to this gem of a coffee spot called Fluid Coffee—and wow, it did not disappoint! Now let’s talk about the property… stunning. The views? Breathtaking. The vibe? Pure relaxation. Our room was cozy, stylish, and so comfortable we didn’t want to leave. If you're looking for a place that blends beauty, comfort, and warm hospitality—this is it. 10/10 recommend checking it out!

Absolute perfection! So glad we decided to start our vacation a day early! Found this on VRBO complete with rescue animals, a pond, multiple acres of flowers and greenery, 2 Airstreams, and our rental loft atop the vintage Blue Barn. We spent the day at Lake Michigan, then came back to the property to relax. We had a bonfire and made s'mores to top off the evening. The following morning it was time to travel to our intended vacation in Traverse City, Michigan. The owners were outside working and tending to their animals, and they were so gracious in spending time with us and sharing many of the animal's stories of being rescued. Honestly, we would have loved to stay longer. There is so much to see on the property, and there's beauty all around. We plan to start our next trip up north in this exact spot, but will definitely stay longer than one night! Thankful for this much needed R&R.

The hosts provided more than a wonderful space to stay. They provide place to find yourself: in nature, in community, in creativity, in solitude. "What do you need now?"-- was their first priority.
