Luxury apartment overlooking sea, private plunge pool (sole use ), near beautiful, uncrowded beach.
El Vista is a lovely holiday home of a family who live in the UK. It is a stylish, modern 2 bedroom apartment with quality furniture and fittings, with lovely views of the Caribbean sea from the patio. It has its own plunge pool for sole use. El Vista can sleep up to 5 people. It is 5 - 8 minutes walk (or 2 Minutes drive) to a glorious beach which never gets crowded and just 10 minutes drive from Holetown which has excellent restaurants, bars, night-life and a good shopping centre. The newly opened “Lime Grove” is a shopping experience not to be missed. Diving centres and swimming with turtles are available at nearby beaches. Tennis courts are available in Holetown and Speightstown . Also several golf courses are only a few minutes drive away.
Several places of interest are within easy reach of the property see “Welcome Book” in the Apartment.
The patio overlooking the floodlit plunge pool creates great ambience for alfresco dining in the evenings as well as providing a cooling off place during the day.

The Barbados Government have recently introduced a “Tourist Tax” which is applicable to all guests staying at Villas, Apartments, Hotels or Guest Houses whilst holidaying in Barbados. We stayed a week and had a lovely time. The local beach was our favourite on the island. Small pool was loved by the children and was needed sometimes when hot after walking up from beach. A couple of small shops between accommodation and beach was useful. Need car or bus to get to bigger supermarkets.A few local places to eat dotted around. We saw monkeys and hummingbirds from outside area.

It is my second vist El Vista just spent 16 nights there the location is perfect the views are amazing would say a car be an advantage but I did see buses go past hope to return sum time soon would definitely recommend

El Vista is wonderfully situated, with views from the patio down the hill to the sea. It is on a road from the west coast that links to the main road going north/south. We have stayed here before, and our return visit speaks for itself. It is well equipped with ceiling fans throughout and air con in the bedrooms. Chilling out on the patio, there are beautiful birds to spot in the trees, and a couple of days we saw a huge frigatebird by the coast. We watched some naval ships manoeuvres, yachts, kite flying, beautiful sunsets. We visited Holetown and Speightstown by bus and hired a car for the last two weeks. We highly recommend El Vista.

We have stayed here many times always enjoyed the patio and dip pool Kim the cleaner is exceptional and been there years. The hill up from the beach is getting harder in the heat so I do suggest a car

We were more than pleased with our stay at el vista. The condo had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Any items of concern were dealt with immediately. I would say a vehicle is needed as the adjacent road is quite steep. We have already booked again for next year. Great staff.

Accommodation is simply prefect for 2 couples or a small family. Great plunge pool and patio area. Grass area for the children or adults. Whirly line for your washing, if you choose to do so, with washer and dryer on the premises. Great big fridge and freezer with ice trays (always a bonus) plenty of crockery, glasses etc. Microwave, big cooker and oven. Shower is great and we never needed to use the water booster for heat. Air conditioning in both bedrooms is excellent. Comfy beds and linen and towels are all good quality. Gail is a truely lovely lady and she will be there to meet and greet you, also happy to do some basic shopping for your first day if you need it. We shopped at Masseys in Holetown and it was really good store to use for all you need. There is plenty of safe parking if you choose to hire a car. We used Drive a Matic. Warning the roads have pot holes on pot holes, but dont let that put you off, its a beautiful island and you really need to explore BIG TIME. Thunder bay is just down the road so you simply need to go there (numerous times) we snorkelled out to the far left and right of the bay and then chilled in Simones or the other bars that are on the beach. ENJOY

A lovely patio area with loungers, dining table and chairs, a plunge pool with a view of the sea. 7 mins walk to Thunder bay. A nice quiet beach with chairs to hire from a couple of small cafes. 2 comfortable bedrooms, a lounge/kitchen. Everything we needed was there. Spacious, clean and quiet. We really appreciated the flexible check-in /out, thank you.

El Vista was such an amazing pick, it literally was home from home. It was well equipped and kids friendly. The view from the patio was so beautiful, definitely the best we've stayed in so far. Gail (property manager) was great welcoming us, even made sure we had breakfast ingredients for our first morning. Also, thank you to Fabian for cleaning the pool and also to Kimberly for helping us keep the apartment clean. Looking forward to staying there again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay in Barbados and El Vista was the perfect base. The apartment had everything we needed and was a short walk from the beach and other amenities. We hired a car to get around but also made use of the ‘reggae buses’ which could easily be picked up on the main coast road. The blue ‘government bus’ stop was also close by. The local beach is stunning and has a beach bar and food available. There are other bars and restaurants in walking distance including Wafel Haus which does the most amazing brunch, Marcy’s, John Moore rum bar, Lower Carlton Variety Grille on a Friday and Saturday night etc. The plunge pool was a great way to cool off and there is also a small garden with extra loungers. I highly recommend this property for anyone who wants a relaxing stay with a great view and easy access to everything the West coast has to offer.

We had a really lovely time at this apartment. It is well decorated and has everything you need for a self catering holiday. We particularly liked laying on the sun beds on the patio watching the sun go down. We enjoyed breakfast there too. There is a little grocery shop close by and a bus stop at the end of the road. We used the buses alot, they are good fun for visiting towns close by. There is a great grocery store called Massey in a Holetown which has everything you need. The beach is within walking distance and it was one of our favourites on the island. We swam every day! The beach bar is also excellent. There is a lady (collect Simone) on the beach who cooks great food - jerk chicken etc. All in all a fabulous holiday - we will definitely be back! Thank you for letting us stay.

From the beginning the contact with Elma & Tony was very warm and helpful. El Vista is a lovely appartement in an area near to different amenities and the beach. The apartment is clean and in very good condition.

We booked this for our son and his family and they arrived a day late due to a delayed connection. Elma the host was very understanding and even offered an extra day free to make up for the missed flight. The kids loves the plunge pool and the beach was a walk away. Brilliant

Wonderful two bedroom with a relaxing pool. Great view, too. Cleaning service was fantastic. The beach is close and the best on the island. Pricing was spot on, too. Barbados is a great island and safe, and I've been to six other islands. Barbados is the best of all of them.

My girlfriend and I really wanted to enjoy this place but it fell very short for us in almost every way imaginable. We stayed at El Vista for 15 nights which was far too long. We were looking forward to and when we excitedly arrived everything was less than what we had expected. The place is incredibly dated and everything has severe signs of wear. The sheets had stains and looked like they were purchased in the early nineties along with mostly everything else in the apartment. There's nothing interesting or inviting about the place either. It's very bland and everything in it was severely lacking in quality. The property manager was also incredibly rude and unwelcoming to us. She raised her voice at me when I asked a simple question about the wifi being fixed since it was broken when we arrived. This place was nothing but bad news from the day we got there. There are such simple things that could've been done by the host to make the place more accommodating but it's clear that there's just a lack of care for the place. Simple things like replacing the shower head would make a huge difference - it's rusty, covered in limescale, and looks as old as the apartment. I would give this place 0 stars if I could and really hope no one else makes the same mistake we did by renting this place.

Property was tired, floors clean, stained sheet, and mattress cover was disgusting., however changed promptly. Cupboards all dirty inside, I cleaned the bin cupboard myself as well as the washing machine dispenser.The property was on a very steep hill so very noisy on patio as traffic over revved to get up the hill and used horns on the bends constantly. Unsafe at night to walk down the hill, pot holed unlit road. Car would be needed, however dangerous blind entrance and exit to property.. During our three week stay we endured power cuts, national water cut and a local mains water burst pipe where we were without water for 23 and a half hours. We definitely would not go back and feel we could have been better informed on the location .
