Spacious Vacation Home in Gorgeous Location, 5 Min from Park

Located five miles west of scenic Yellowstone National Park, this vacation house has all the comforts of home and is set in a gorgeous location. Come and enjoy hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, site seeing, or just plain relaxing!
The house is located at 35 Mooseberry Rd. Five miles west of West Yellowstone on Highway 20. It is within 1/2 mile of the groomed trail systems. The house is 2200 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Sleeps 12 comfortably. It is a log home and is ranch style. The sauna is indoors. There is a laundry room with washer and driers. This house has all the comforts of home. The large living room has a wood burning fireplace. The open floor plan accommodates large groups. The house is completely furnished including bedding and bath towels. The kitchen is fully stocked with a microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker as well as plenty of pots and pans, cooking utensils, dishware and silverware. There is a one stall garage for minor sled repairs and there is ample parking for pickups and trailers. The house also has a ring doorbell for yours and my security.

Good sized driveway, easy access from highway. Large living room, a lot of beds. Nice kitchen, plenty of utensils and pots and pans. Area outback to sit to watch the dog and fox play together.Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms.

Felt like grandma’s cabin…. Cute decorations (my favorite was the hanging macrame owl!). Plenty of kitchen gear/ towels. Comfortable beds. On a busy road, but a quick trip to town and easy to get in the park. Good Wi-Fi. As previous posters said, he does watch the Ring doorbell, but that’s what it is there for.

Right off the highway

We enjoyed how close we were to Yellowstone but were surprised to find the house was next to a busy highway. The kitchen was, at best, difficult. We were surprised when we arrived after 4 PM and found the cleaners still working on cleaning the house.

VERY SPACIOUS AND VERY COMFORTABLE!

My family really enjoyed our stay at this spacious vacation home. Location to the local grocery store and West Entrance to Yellowstone was great. It truly accommodates a large family comfortably. The property manager responded to my one question right away-everything was pretty easy to figure out. The plumbing in the master bedroom toilet is old and should be replaced, but we had two other bathrooms to choose from, so it was not an issue. Otherwise, I would have given this home 5 stars. The feel of this vacation home is rustic, as it should be when visiting beautiful Yellowstone. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful home in perfect location

Owner was very helpful and easy to work with. Home was perfect for our family. Had everything we needed. Location was fantastic. 5 minutes from West Yellowstone and 7 from the west gate of Yellowstone. Would definitely stay here again. If you are planning a trip to Yellowstone book this wonderful home!

Excellent vacation house!

The property was wonderful. We were close to the National Park and town, but had a rustic country feel. We enjoyed the firepit and spacoiosness of the house. Kitchen was so well stocked! Could not have been better.

good and very bad

The whole story: I have a big family with 9 kids and since VRBO makes you list all their ages i find it cumbersome and often don't list all or sometimes any of them. That said we find rentals that fit us and we meet occupancy. For this rental for some reason i had only listed 2 adults and 4 kids. i didn't think anything of it since the occupancy of this property is listed at 12. so yeah, i was technically in the wrong. On our 2nd day the host contacted me and asked how many people we had cause he counted 9 or 10. yep, he was watching us on his camera (that is unlisted on his property details as is required by VRBO). I honestly answered his question and he said we were in violation of our rental agreement and that he had extra fees for more than 6 guests. this information was no where to be found on his page, so it's not like i was trying to avoid extra costs. the host sent us an extra payment request and he said if we didn't pay he would have us escorted off the property. so yeah, CREEPY owner violating VRBO policy by watching guests on his camera and then threatening them. I should also add that i had to fix the wifi and even let him know about, though he claimed it was working. there was also a dead mouse in the garage, no napkins and only a partial roll of paper towels provided. very meager provisions. BUT, the cabin was spacious though outdated, and had good character if you like that. very similar experience to 7/1/23 review, wish i had seen that earlier.

Very spacious cabin. very clean and a quite area. We had a very comfortable stay. Cabin is very close to the park and anywhere else we needed to be. Our main issue was the wifi which was very spoty, almost unusable (which reading from the reviews is how it is in the town)

Perfect for group of 12

We had adults & younger kids, & it suited us great! We enjoyed relaxing in the dry sauna. I didn't realize there is no AC & we visited during a heat wave, but we made it work! Perfect distance from town & Yellowstone!

Great place but be aware of potential fee

The home is very spacious, clean, and in a good area and close proximity to the West Yellowstone park entrance. I liked that the property manager was quick to respond to questions. The only issue I had was that the property manager assumed I had more than the allowed guests based off looking at the ring camera and neighbors telling him which prompted him to then qcharge me a fee and send me notice of violation. When I tried to explain to him that I had family visiting but not staying the night and had proof of this he was dismissive and did not appear willing to hear my explanation and he was firm on keeping the fee because that’s what he saw on the camera. It was not until I brought up that prior reviews on this property say that this happened to them too that he changed his response and withdrew the fee. I say all of this for anyone planning on staying at this property to be aware that this appears to happen often based on prior review and my experiences as well. Again, this is a great place to stay but I just thought that the property manager just assuming and not clarifying first and then being dismissive was unfair and uncomfortable.

Epic family vacation

We spent three nights while visiting Yellowstone! We LOVED it. Clean, comfortable beds, close to anything we needed. Loved the large gathering area for our two families to play cards and games. We would definitely book again in a heartbeat!!! Thank you for helping our vacation wonderful!
