Green Mountain Den - 4+ person , 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment located on the lower level of the Green Mountain House with its own private entrance.

** PLEASE BE AWARE: this is a basement apartment to The Green Mountain House. While it is very private, with its own entrance, you can hear footsteps and muffled noises from the unit above, if it is occupied. They cannot hear you. **

During the ski season, the apartment includes a ski-back trail (conditions permitting) and shuttle to and from Mt Snow (winter weekends and holiday). In the warmer months, the club house has a pool, tennis court, gym, pool table, and fire pit/bbq area.

The Green Mountain Den is a place to drop your bags, kick off your shoes, slow down, and let your mind disconnect. A cozy place designed for quick trips with everything you need. There's hiking in the summer, skiing in the winter, mountain fresh air, and dark starry nights.

The Green Mountain Den is a two-bed, one-bath apartment in the lower level of a 1985 chalet located in Dover, VT in the heart of the Green Mountain National Park - 3.5-hour drive from New York City, and a 2.5-hour drive from Boston.

We are minutes away from restaurants in West Dover and Wilmington, as well as Mt Snow and Stratton ski resorts. Green Mountain National Forest offers some of the best terrains for hiking and mountain biking in the northeast.

The house is officially situated on one acre but we back up to national park land so feel free to roam the backwoods for as long as your legs can sustain you. The apartment and grounds are available for your enjoyment!

Guest Access • Guests will have access to the lower level apartment, consisting of entry through a separate side entrance door, a full kitchen, a living area with fireplace, an open concept kitchen, two bedrooms, and bathroom. Above there is a 4-bedroom home with separate access that is rented separately.

Interaction with Guests • Keys will be left for you and we will always be available via email, text or phone.

Ski Resorts • Mt Snow ski resort is a 1-mile drive or The Moover is Dover’s free shuttle service that brings you directly to and from the mountain. Additionally, there is a private groomed ski-home trail from Mt Snow that comes to Bears Crossing. Stratton ski resort is a 25-minute drive from the house.

Hiking • The Green Mountain National Forest is a great place to hike around and explore Haystack Mountain Trail. The Harriman Reservoir is a short 30-minute drive and is a great place to enjoy kayaking and lake-shore hiking.

Nearest International Airport • Albany International Airport (67 miles)

Other Things to Note • The apartment is well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, bath products, board games and books, and an internet/Netflix-enabled TV.

Please be respectful of our home and our belongings. A lot of time and effort has gone into making this space as comfortable as possible and we hope to share it for a long time!

The Moover is Dover’s first free public bus system that brings you directly to and from the mountain as well as other popular locations in town. Additionally, there is a private groomed ski-home trail from Mt Snow that comes to Bears Crossing. Lastly, onsite parking is available.

Everything about this place was perfect for a quick ski weekend. The house was clean, warm and had everything needed. The information presented in the description is accurate. You do hear the people in the house above, but it was not an issue for us.It is a two minute drive to Corinthia base lodge.

Would have given 5-stars but the location is right below another rental and you can hear everyone walking around, which was a little annoying. After a friendly visit to the upstairs neighbors, and a cordial chat, it was a great evening. If the upstairs came with padded carpet this place would be a home run.

I would never stay here again. Definitely would not recommend anyone to stay here unless your deaf. Upstairs occupants are extremely loud. Even with earplugs could not sleep. Noise did not stop Saturday night till 1am.

Property was clean and adequately supplied. Situated near several of Vermonts scenic roadways the property was perfectly placed for Sightseeing in a car or on a motorcycle like we did. We will be looking to rent again in the future.

Very comfortable and close to ski area. The kitchen was fully equipped and the beds were really comfortable, which was welcome after a long day of skiing. Will stay again next time we visit Mt Snow.

I was in need of a rental for a business trip I was taking to Wilmington and I found it was slim pickings for a place to stay due to the pandemic , but I found this spot and Alex got back to my request within 10 minutes. His response time is amazing. I travel for business a lot and never had anyone get back to me so quickly. The place was exactly what I needed. A clean , comfy bed, a kitchen to prepare meals and a hot shower. I am not a skier and wasn’t here for a ski vacation , but I found myself thinking that it would be the perfect spot if I was. It’s close to the ski area, . It sleeps 6 people and has a fully equipped kitchen and comfy seating area with fireplace. Perfect for apres skiing. However it was May when I came here and the Spring beauty of this area was breathtaking. I found myself driving around just taking in the beautiful scenery that surrounds this place. I can only imagine how wonderful and vibrant the area would be if everything was open for business. I can totally see a family coming here for a great winter or summer vacation and thoroughly enjoying their stay.

Had a minor glitch on check in as Fireplace was cardboarded close..Simultaneously, I was contacted byVRBO to be sure everything was good.. Alex was busy with an unexpected emergency so he was unable to get back to us more then 30 minutes.. I will say VRBO really doesn’t help..Thankfully, Alex corrected the fireplace issue for us and we were able to enjoy a very well appointed condo..Shuttle to Mt. Is a really nice addition we didn’t utilize..Only negative is we had people above us and you hear them creeking the floors.. Thankfully, we were all in bed early so it wasn’t an Issue...We d stay again!! Thanks Alex

We (3 friends) spent a night in the Green Mountain Den and enjoyed it very much. It was spotless and adequately stocked for us. We will certainly be back! Great value! (my only "suggestion" would be to add a grater and a peeler to the kitchen.)

Nice TV selections! Clean, nice neighborhood and close to lots of hiking. Apartment is lower lever with no access to deck and a little loud when people walk around upstairs.

A very clean and updated apartment/condo. Walls are white knotty pine, and the scent of pine is refreshing. Owner is easy to contact and hospitable. Modern bath and kitchen, new Keureg and a basket of assorted coffee, coco and a box of Lipton tea. Cell service in the entire area is spotty; but the WIFI and streaming TV worked well. There is an Echo Dot as well. One does hear footfalls from Tenants above at times. Thanks for a nice home away from home. --- DM
