Particularly enjoyed our ground floor room with the conservatory which gives you direct access to the outdoors. The walk across the field to Hawes is always fun. Great staff, food delicious."

"Our welcome when we arrived was excellent. Liz was very helpful telling us sbout breakfast etc. Our room no 5 was quite spacious and had a nice view of the hillside of the dale. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Glenn was very efficient and knowledgeable about the area and made you feel relaxed with his banter. The en suite was a tad small but we managed ok. Will return and stay with them again at some point if we are visiting the area."

Staff were great, Room was good and reasonably comfortable but we fail to see how it qualified to be DeLux. Just little things would make a huge difference, For instance TV was mounted too high on the wall and therefore not comfortable to watch. Lighting was gloomy. Shower needed a grab rail being an over bath arrangement. Food was a bit of a let down, I...

"We stayed at the Kings Head last weekend and had a lovely time. The pub itself is gorgeous, decorated beautifully, it is cosy and inviting and located in a lovely spot by the stream.Although the actual car park itself was small this was no problem as we parked literally a couple of minutes away on the lane, perfect as it allowed the opportunity to see a tiny red squirrel busy in a nearby tree.
