The Lonely Bull | Luxury Shipping Container Home

Looking for a unique property on a county setting yet close to city amenities? Welcome to The Lonely Bull--a Luxury 40-foot Shipping Container Home on 5 acres! Spend the summer days lounging on the rooftop deck and enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot tub at night. The home is centrally located 15 minutes from both Historic Downtown Weatherford and Granbury, and being just 10 minutes from I20 makes traveling easy!
PLEASE NOTE: The Lonely Bull is one of 2 units on the property. The other unit for rent is "The Tiny 'Tainer" (20-foot container, sleeps 2).
Though it's a tiny house, you'll find The Lonely Bull to be quite roomy inside! There is a living area with electric fireplace; a kitchenette with a two-burner induction cooktop, microwave, and mini-fridge; a bathroom with full-size shower; and one private bedroom. This unit can sleep up to 3 guests. The bedroom hosts a queen-size bed, and the couch in the living area pulls out to sleep one additional guest. The outdoor hot tub is available for use year-round.
There is currently one other unit for rent on the property, so it's possible that there will be two parties visiting at the same time. Outside, there is a common area available for all guests to share the amenities. Guests can play volleyball/badminton/pickleball or cornhole, grill up some burgers and enjoy each other's company at the table under the pergola, or roast some s'mores at the fire pit!
Guests are free to explore the full property but are strictly prohibited from trespassing on the other unit that is not part of their reservation.
Please use caution when walking around the premises as there may be venomous snakes, fire ants, scorpions, wild hogs and other wildlife on the property at any time.
Prior to the reservation date, guests will receive codes for the entrance gate and to unlock the front door of the house.

We do not currently provide firewood for the fire pit, but it can be purchased at several local stores. We ask guests not to cut trees from the property to use for firewood.
Free Wi-Fi is offered to all guests. TVs are equipped with FireTV, but guests must use their own personal account to login to the streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, etc. Guests are responsible for logging out of all accounts prior to check-out.

Marriage Reconciliation

We were pleased with our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. There was so much to keep us entertained and busy but not enough time. The part we enjoyed the most was having our morning coffee, breakfast, and our Bible devotional on the rooftop patio.

Awesome getaway!

My husband and I really enjoyed this romantic getaway. Very cozy tiny house. Loved the hot tub. Lots of special touches. It’s within 45 minutes of Mineral Wells State Park if you enjoy hiking. There’s also a nice restaurant about three minutes away called Rio Brazos Grill if you want a nice dinner out.

Romantic getaway for 2

First things first MaryElena is the absolute best when it comes to all things communication. From the booking, the need for help trying to check in when it’s pitch dark and raining, to the checkout she was definitely top notch. The lonely bull is very clean, well furnished and super comfy. The hot tub was in great shape and was fully ready to go. I could go on and on as it’s just a great piece of property to get away to. I will definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you we had an amazing time.

The stay was excellent, I was surprised how cool the A/C unit was able to keep the converted container, that being said the outside unit is mounted outside the same wall as the headboard and so it was waking me up a few times each night, but I am a light sleeper especially in unfamiliar places. Spouse slept fine. We really enjoyed the rooftop deck area, perfect for morning coffee. Might consider adding an actual coffee maker to make it perfect.

Nice getaway with my wife!

My wife and I had a great getaway stay at the Lonely Bull. The Property is easy to find and the check-in process was seamless. It’s along a busy 2-lane highway, however the home is set back far enough that noise is not a problem. At the property, we enjoyed the rooftop deck, the lovely trees that the home is tucked into and the hot tub. You can tell the owners have pride of ownership as everything is very well taken care of. There are two nearby, small towns that were also fun to explore. We would definitely stay there again if we have a reason to come back to the Dallas area.

Loved the Lonely Bull!!

What a great property. Loved the container home. It was perfect for the two of us. A little chilly while we were there so didn’t get to enjoy being outdoors as much as we would have liked but the patio on top of the container was great as was the recreational/grilling area. Will definitely try to stay here again when we visit.

Father’s Day Getaway

We live in north Fort Worth & are so glad we found this gem. The owners did not skip a beat on this one. We enjoyed the corn hole game, badminton, built a small fire in the fire pit, enjoyed the stock tank pool, & the amazing upper deck allowed us to relax & enjoy the sounds of nature with a nice breeze. The interior of the container had every you could possibly want or need- gorgeous decor! Thank you for sharing your home & allowing us some much needed time away. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful Property

My daughter and I were in town for a softball tournament in Weatherford. The property is within 10 minutes of Weatherford and Grandbury. We played in Weatherford and then spent the evenings in downtown Grandbury. The tiny house is beautiful. The finishes are amazing and we absolutely loved everything about it. Thanks, we would stay here again in a heart beat!
