Escape to nature and indulge in a truly unique experience at this unforgettable vacation home. Nestled on the tranquil banks of the Little Bouctouche River, surrounded by expansive hay fields, this one-of-a-kind retreat offers all the amenities you need for a delightful stay.

Inside the home, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, allowing you to prepare your favorite meals with ease. The three-piece bathroom features a refreshing shower, along with thoughtful additions like a hairdryer/straightener, cozy robes, and plush towels. The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable queen-size bed, a picture frame TV for your entertainment, a convenient sink, and ample cupboard space to store your belongings. And don't forget to take advantage of the hot tub and WiFi, perfect for unwinding and staying connected.

Despite its modest size of 320 square feet, this home provides a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Situated on 38 acres of picturesque hay fields, with scattered trees and a charming stream meandering through the property, you'll be surrounded by the beauty of nature. When visiting the beach, we highly recommend wearing beach shoes due to the abundance of seashells. The Little Bouctouche River offers a multitude of activities throughout the seasons, including paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing/ice fishing, tubing, skating, and of course, swimming. The property also allows for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, and its convenient location on the NB Snowmobile trail ensures easy access during the winter months. Feel free to inquire about the availability of sporting goods such as paddleboards, life jackets, snowshoes, tubes, ice fishing equipment, and ice safety gear.

Nearby towns are just a quick drive away, with Bouctouche being the nearest. In Bouctouche, you'll find a variety of amenities to enhance your stay, including a wide selection of restaurants, convenient gas stations, captivating tourist sites, a well-stocked grocery store, pharmacies, NBLiquor, and a vibrant farmers market during the summer months. There's plenty to explore and enjoy in this charming town and its surroundings.

Stripping the bed is also a nice treat for us. So if it's something you don't mind doing, we greatly appreciate it.

From the moment the sparkling solar lights beckoned me from the road, I knew i was not only in the right place, but a magical place. This place is a dream vacation spot, the ambiance of light and the clean space made a warm welcome. The property itself was more than i could have hoped for. Private but spacious, lots of places for me and my dog to explore. The little add-ons like a cozy robe to get to and from the spacious hot tub, the bottle of Magnetic Hill wine to savour, and the bed and bed sheets mixed with the river air made for the best sleep ive had in years. The nearby town of Bouctouche is a beautiful town with many things to do and experience. If i could rate the entire experience 20/10 I certainly would.

Beautiful quiet location. Private space to retreat and unwind. Modern interior with bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bathroom with all amenities anyone could need. AC and Wifi plus additional hospitable touches to make us truly welcome. Hot tub, outdoor fireplace and large property to explore made our week-long stay a pleasure. Beautiful sunsets every evening.
Hot tub was an added bonus.

Loved it!

I was looking for a place to stay to “get away by myself” for a few days and this was by far, the best place to do that. You have the luxury of having this entire space all to yourself with your own hot tub to use which looks out over the field. It’s a short walk to the lovely river (which like advertised, wear shoes as there are lots of shells in the sand. ) The kitchen space is amazing as well. This would also be nice for a couple but not anymore than two. It’s a short drive to get gas and groceries, etc. and a good halfway point between Miramichi and Moncton. I would definitely stay there again either by myself or with my husband! I just wish I booked it longer! The hosts were super friendly and helpful as well. The treats they left for me were really extra special. A nice touch. One thing to be aware about is that there isn’t a lot of space to put your toiletries in the bathroom as the sink doesn’t have any edge around the basin and there isn’t any sort of ledge in the shower stall if you have your own products to use. I just used the top of the toilet and on the floor of the shower stall.

An amazing oasis for couples looking to get away and relax. Completely private overlooking fields of wild flowers. The place is everything it advertises to be. Clothing storage is somewhat limited but one really doesn't need much as most of the area spots are casual. The hot tub is an amazing addition and the host are very attentive to your needs.

A bucolic location

Coming from the noise and congestion of the GHTA, it was a pleasure to spend a week surrounded by fields and close to the water. The 'shipping container' was beautifully renovated. It was comfortable, very well equipped and Melissa and Luc were very responsive to questions. We were greeted by a fruit bowl and some basic food items like milk, cream, coffee and OJ. Really a 5 ***** experience. Thank you Melissa and Luc.

Just Perfect!!!

This spot was a layover for my husband and me while traveling to Nova Scotia. We took a chance on an unconventional looking rental, and are so glad that we did! This set the bar very high for the remaining places that we stayed (which for the most part, did not compare!), and even with the weather less than perfect, we still enjoyed every moment of our stay! So modern, clean, welcoming, and peaceful! We had fun exploring the area and ended our day paddle boating on the river and then soaking in the hot tub! Perfect start to our vacation. Thank you again Melissa and Luc, you are superb hosts!

Steel Haven is a GEM!

Initially, I was just looking to book a spot for a couple nights while my husband and I explored the Buctouche area. Rather than just “settling” for a typical motel room, I decided to look at Vrbo. This listing caught my attention immediately and I looked no further. It is amazing! So well located for both privacy and nearness to amenities. Super clean! (SO CLEAN!). Very well equipped with the hosts going over and above to ensure everything you could need was available. Wish we had booked a longer stay as this property is not just a place to lay your head while enjoying the area, it is a destination itself. Book it! You will not be disappointed. Thank you so very much for sharing this unique haven with us! For our first vrbo experience, this one has set the bar very high :-)
