Enjoy the beautiful sunsets from the Blue Bird Cottage, an ocean front home with private beach access located between Waldport and Yachats. Stroll the miles of sand on Big Stump Beach or just sit on the deck and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean. Additional amenities include a fully fenced yard for the pets and kids, telescope and binoculars for whale watching and a home WiFi system for the working vacationer. The Blue Bird Cottage has 2 bedrooms plus a loft, 1.5 bathrooms and a fireplace in the living room for those cozy evenings. This is one of the coziest homes and best locations on the Oregon coast!
Living Room: Electric Fireplace, Queen Sofa Sleeper, Flat Screen Roku TV, Blu Ray player and plenty of games.
Dining Room: Table that seats 6, ocean views and a sliding glass door to the deck.
Kitchen: Fully equipped including a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, range, blender, coffee pot and coffee grinder.
Master Bedroom: Queen Murphy bed, ocean views and a sliding glass door to the deck.
Bathroom 1: Large walk-in shower with beautiful slate tile and hairdryer.

Bedroom 2: Full size bed with a 4K Flat Screen 43” Roku TV and views of the ocean.
Loft/Bedroom 3: Twin bed and two skylights.

This adorable cottage is the perfect place to enjoy rest and relaxation. Sunsets, long walks on the quiet beach, and watching the waves are what it's all about. The cottage is exceptionally clean, well kept and comfortable.

Spring Break Getaway

We had an amazing time at this property. We three adults, one tween and baby. Oh and our dogs! It was the perfect space. I would recommend it for a couple getaway or family of 4. I chose the property for the enclosed front area and beach access for the dogs:) The deck in the back and the stairs to the beach were great! So easy to manage and a hose placed perfectly to wash off the sand from humans and dogs before you go back up! Are there some quirks - yes but it’s an older, quaint beach cottage ON the beach, not sure how one could complain. I loved our time there and we will definitely be booking the cottage again!

A cute and cozy cottage!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Blue Bird Cottage. The location, beach access and views were perfect. The cottage itself was quaint and comfortable, providing us with adequate amenities for our stay and we look forward to renting it again in the (near) future. The fenced front yard was great for the little pups and the deck overlooking the beach was lovely. We rate the management company, Ocean Odyssey Beach Rentals with an A as they have excellent communication and were extremely pleasant and helpful when we had questions. My only negative was having to pack up and go home.

ocean access

Great ocean access even though we didn't use it (too windy and hail). Multiple beds and bedrooms, nice bath and kitchen. Nice place to relax at the coast. Not that far a drive to town.

Love this home

This was our second stay and we now call it our home away from home. It’s a cozy little house with a beautiful deck to watch the waves. Each room has a fantastic view of the ocean. Both times the place was clean and ready to live in for a week or extended weekend. Room downstairs has a very comfortable memory foam bed. Cozy tv area and kitchen essentials were available. Can’t wait to book our next stay! Thank you ❤️

Idyllic Beach House Experience

Right on the beach and we almost had the whole beach to ourselves most of the time. The comfortable cozy house had everything we needed and was a short drive to town for the essentials. A perfect place to experience the Oregon coast.

beach getaway

my kids wanted a quick weekend away w/ our dogs and we found this and booked it. communication was fast, they were super nice about me bringing our dogs and you can't beat the location. The shower as others have stated is amazing - beautiful, clean and very HOT water! I loved the fenced front yard for the dogs - that was a huge bonus that I appreciated a lot (and the dogs too!). The beach is wonderful and not super crowded. My only complaints would be 1. it took a while for the house to warm up but once it did it was nice and toasty but our first night was a bit chilly - but we also arrived at 9 pm. 2. the house is very close to hwy so that scared me a bit w/ my dogs as one side of the back yard was not fenced and led directly to the hwy - so anyone w/ kids and dogs be aware of this. overall, we'd def stay again and appreciate the hospitality and location of this house.

Weekend of September

Quiet time with my dog. House is very cute. Easy access to beach. Great beach for dogs. Not heavily populated. Only problem was main bed was not changed. When I brought it up manager was very happy to offer me a credit. Lovely spot and I will return.

Darling Cottage

This little place is just lovely. Easy beach access, down about 15 steps and then you are on the beach!! Between Waldport and Yahats which both have lots of little shops to explore. Definitely plan on returning.

Surf and Chill

The cottage was well laid out and very cute. The beach theme was evident in every room with cute trinkets and ocean colors. It was close to town but had the feel of an isolated cottage with a wonderful beach area. The atmosphere was relaxing and the sound of the waves mixed with the sea air, worked it's magic.

Lovely

Such a charming ocean home! Perfect for a couple and a teen. We loved being so close to the ocean. The house had everything you could need. Very cozy. Fabulous views. Would definitely come back!

So we really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Quite comfortable and right on the beach. Set up is a little odd. The stairs to the second level are “skinny”. Maybe to skinny for most people. And they have ants. If it was my cottage I would get it sprayed monthly instead of placing ant catchers all around.

Location gets all the stars!

We loved the location of Blue Bird Cottage with stairs off the deck leading down to the beach and great unobstructed views of the ocean and sunsets . It would have even been better if the path from the bottom of the stairs had been cleared somewhat. It was very overgrown with bushes and grasses, the only pathway had been made by others fighting their way through the brush. The other problem with the cottage was the sleeping arrangements which were not clear in the listing. The main bedroom contained a Murphy bed which was set into the wall sideways. At first we couldn't figure out why our feet hung off the end of the bed, Once we realized that the orientation of the bed was turned, it meant that with two people in the bed, one had to climb over the other to get in and out. Also, it was impossible to make the bed since the heavy deep mattress was set into a heavy deep frame and one side was up against the wall of the Murphy bed structure. Not sure we would have booked this location if we'd realized the bed situation. And last but not least, when we arrived a little after 4 to check in, the lock box with the key could not be opened. We tried every which way but it seems that it was corroded shut. After several calls and messages, finally made contact with property manager. Once he arrived he too had trouble getting it to work and agreed it was a problem with the box, not us. Eventually got the box open only to find that the key was damaged and wouldn't open the door. Had to wait another half hour for a locksmith to come and get us in and cut a new key. Two hours after we arrived we finally got into the cottage. Property manager apologized and offered us a one night stay refund. Haven't seen that yet.
