  • Welcome to our Waiouru Tiny House!

    Whether you're visiting for a special occasion, heading up the mountain, or just getting away from it all, this space is your space.

    Well positioned within the township, enjoy short drives to Turoa and Tukino Ski Fields, Ohakune township or simply relax on the deck enjoying the mountain view. Relax in the cozy lounge after the Tongariro Alpine Crossing with a glass of wine, or enjoy the company of loved ones in the sun or snow.
    The space
    Lovingly hand crafted, this architecturally inspired tiny home offers all the amenities of a modern home including a full sized bathroom, kitchen, study space and two bedroom spaces. Spaces within are generous and well proportioned, with a large stacking door and deck offering wonderful opportunity to dine alfresco. Okoume linings throughout offer warmth and comfort with lots of features built in to each space.

    The lounge includes a wine rack, TV with Netflix, WiFi and built in Bluetooth stereo and some storage space. The kitchen is modest but well appointed, with all the basics included and some more. The large shower in the bathroom features as well as a beautiful german made handbasin.
    Guest access
    The tiny home is located at the rear of the section, down a metal driveway, it is seculed and tucked away to give you privacy.

    Access is via a lockbox, to the left of the stairs by the deck.

Great place to stay

We chose this place to break up our drive back to Wellington, and it was so clean and comfortable, was a perfect place to stay overnight.

Modern cosy small home

Lovely property, perfect for what we were after. Gorgeous bathroom and kitchen. The only thing that was a bit hard to use was the ladder up to the second bed that wasn’t hooked to anything. Other then that it was awesome :)

Awesome place to stay

What a great little place to stay. Was me and my daughter and her partner and there was plenty of room with 2 double beds. We would suggest a catch or something for the ladder when using it to go up and down to the loft as it would swing around while you were climbing. Other than that little thing the place was fantastic. Everything we needed and I would return. Thank you.

Good alternative accommodation

It fits the purpose, great location as it is handy to local cafe/restaurant/takeaway and great service from the owner who brought us larger heater as the small heater was not strong enough to warm the living room and up stair bed. The only downside is the accommodation move when the train/big truck is passing. It did not bother us too much though.
